The same pit bulls were quarantined for 10 days in December of last year after they bit a 9-year-old girl and her mother as the pair walked by the Aloha Street home, police said.
The dogs allegedly dug a hole below the fence in place and made puncture wounds in the victims' skin, but the injuries did not meet the criteria under Texas law to deem the dogs dangerous, cops said.

Did any of you even read the whole story? I am guessing Gary posted it for the same reason he thinks pit bulls are a singular breed and have an allele that no other dogs have that make them all aggresive and just waiting for their moment to kill.

Maybe don't leave your young child with a heart defect unattended in the first place and he is still alive today.
Maybe the mom was busy trying to run over a lady with a baby stroller for jaywalking.

Pit bulls are the most common and popular and loved dogs in the USA. How can this story be correct? Probably wasn't really a pit bull. :shrug:

No I haven't at all Gary. He was fine years old with a heart defect and was left alone in the yard with two dogs.
Why is it that if you pass on a double yellow line you get what you deserve when run of the road but you leave a five year old unattended and its all the killer dogs fault?

Getting mauled in the neck region so severely that the coroners can't piece together what happens only results in death in those with heart conditions. Certainly, and thanks for asking for clarification.
The boy had several surgeries for a congenital heart defect. He was five years old and was scheduled for more surgeries. Since I'm not a doctor I did a itsy bitty bit of research and found a picture of the boy and a small amount of info on his disease. The left side of his heart was underdeveloped, consequently so was his physical stature. With him being in less than good health and in danger of heart failure or illness, it seems reasonable to me that I would keep a close eye on his activities and would not have been so obtuse as to his whereabouts when visiting friends with two large dogs. I certainly wouldn't have paid so little attention that I didn't hear the attack and didn't know how long he'd been laying there.
I'm not saying the dogs were faultless, they are dead so saint can beat off to that rather than his high school picture for once.
I do find it somewhat comical how willing some are herr to lay blame on parents, teachers, poor black people with no criminal record getting themselves shot by police because they didn't forego their civil rights and submit, but grandma leaves a 5 year old to play with two big dogs unsupervised and not a word?
