And sainy,
The heart defect is not fucking irrelevant, it's totally relevant.

Every parent in the world would pay more attention to the whereabouts or actions of a sick kid compared to a healthy one. If your kid had asthma or epilepsy, so parents check to see if they have their medication for school or a sleepover? That's being more attentive. It's absolutely relevant. The heart defect had nothing to do with his death. Nothing. His grandmother's inattentivenrss certainly put him in harms way. It's that fucking simple, so simple even you should understand it.

Now if you want me to explain it even further than ask. Don't assume you know a fucking thing about me or my thought processes.

Where it is real F ing COLD
The pit bulls were in trouble before? I'm sorry but if your pit bulls have been in trouble before then kids should never be on your property. Case closed, dogs should be euthanized and owner should have two bullets in back of head execution style.

Also I am never allowing any child outside where there are pitbulls, I'm not even going to show up at your house, that's just me, experienced it too many times to chance it

aggression is in their genetics.

lets think of what they were bred to do.

when you want to breed something of quality, you breed the ones showing the strongest traits you are trying to achieve. that is what dog breeders do, and I am sure it is no different with pit bulls.

do some end up not aggressive? sure, because some dogs are just timid, but as a breed, pitbulls are more aggressive by nature than other dogs.

if you want to own an aggressive breed, you should have to pass a test, like they have implemented in Germany to show that your dog is properly socialized and you know what you are doing.

even then though, you never know because the aggression is in the genetics and can be hidden till later in life.

Pit Bull isn't a breed, and aggression is not genetic. All the facts are readily available on the Internet.

You see airportis, genetics is a science based on DNA and chromosomal traits passed on in all living thing's DNA. DNA is contained in the nucleotides that wrap around each other to form the double helix formation. It is made up of nucleic acids, carbohydrates, proteins, and monosaccharides. The major components are guanine which matches with the cytosine, while adenine matches with thymine.
DNA determines your physical appearance. This is true for all DNA.
It does not now, never has, and never will contain a macromolecule that predisposes aggression in anything on earth. Absolutely nothing. If you'd like I can provide you any hundreds of links from the actual scientific community that will support this.
Are all Samoans aggressive? Passive? Could we breed them to be only either? No you cannot, because aggression is a learned behavior, not a trait. Much like you choose to ignore the abundance of science on this matter simply to push your agenda, ignorance is a learned trait. You weren't born with it, it was taught to you.
So if you want to be taken seriously by anyone that doesn't choose ignorance as a lifestyle you may want to educate yourself or at the very least change your terminology.

Of course we both already know exactly what you're going to do. You made your choice as a youth.

Hope this helps,
FDC

It was his grandma and she wouldn't have been in the yard because she didn't give a shit where he was or if he was safe in the first place.

The next time someone makes a post about Pitbulls (and you know there will be a next time) you should ignore it. Just think how it will fucking irritate some of the posters who want to get to you. You know what I mean man, they'll think just wait until FDC comes in here - then I can stir up some shit and get under his skin and make him look like the villain, hehehe. Anyway, you catch my drift. Ignoring it is probably the best course of action. Yeah, I'm not very good at this too but I do let things go, even when they are stupid. Watch this thread die now w/o anymore responses from you.

BTW, I have no experience with Pitbulls but my three chihuahuas substitute as a doorbell.

kneifl
No worries man. I know I bring much of it on myself because I do choose to advocate for them and always will. Maybe they do post this shit to get under my skin and I certainly have the desire to ignore this shit, just not the ability.

I consider whatshisnuts, sixfive, and many others my friends. I can't help the way I am and I'm too old to change it now. Besides, I like me. My friends and family like me. If others want to be mean and durum to me, go ahead. I'm an easy target but if I give one single person pause, is all worth.

No biggie, i mean them no harm or malice, but they knew and know what they will get from me when they post this stuff. What they do with that is on them, not me. I'm over it

sorry, but you are wrong. I know it, as fact, that you're wrong, as does i'd say every single person who has posted in this thread.

you see, you are one of these people that can not accept being on the wrong side. it does not matter what anyone says or presents to you with logic because you are hell bent on proving your opinion is right.

to me it is hilarious that youd call anyone on here ignorant, because you are by far the most ignorant, stubborn, block headed person I have ever come across on this website. I don't know what issue you have but you feel the need to force your opinions, often wrong ones, down everyones throat, on every subject that has ever been posted.

I have seriously never met anyone who is such an expert on so many topics. It is truly remarkable.

because you volunteer a few times a week around an aggressive by nature dog breed, you think that you are an expert. hey fuck everyone elses opinion and what every day life tells us because theyre not FDC and they dont work with these aggressive dogs a few times a week.

what youve never learned as a youth is accepting that you are wrong.

carry on debating this till you are blue in the face, but I know, as does everyone else, what the truth is, and your asinine rants are going to sway nobody.

First off, I'm much more intelligent and well read than you. The fact that you try to diminish my intelligence as well as any charitable work I might do, only makrs you look petty.
You know for a fact that scientists have identified an allele for aggression that any and all pit bulls are born with?
Show me the report. Post that mother fucker right fucking now. I need to see it.
Make sure it identifies pit bulls as a breed first too idiot. You know for a fucking fact. PROVE IT RIGHT NOW.

BP,
No that's not what I'm saying. Breeding dogs for personality tendencies is a BEHAVIOURAL TRAIT! THAT IS NOT PART OF A DOG"S DNA. DNA or genetics would mean every single dog would have that identifiable trait not some.
When animals are bred for certain desireable traits its called selective breeding and it doesn't assure any breeder of having that particular behaviour present in every pup. So over time the most aggressive, best fighting dogs are bred in hopes of an aggressive pup. That's a learned trait.

Put it this way and see if that small minded know it all dolt airportis can even understand it. Racing thoroughbreds such as Secretariat are/were bred with other Arabian quarter horses for years because they want more race horses. Do all the foals come out and race? No, they don't, however if they had a GENETIC TRAIT TO RACE EVERY SINGLE FUCKUNG FOAL WOULD BE A RACE HORSE! They don't, they are bred for their physical attributes which may lend themselves to faster running speeds. That's called selective breeding and the resultant horse that displays the desired tendency to run is then taught to race. They aren't all born to run. Which is also why winning horses aren't fucking cloned instead of bred, because their is no specific and identifiable gene for either behaviour. That's it, it's a very simple concept.

Yes some dogs are bred because they display aggression. Ask ANY BREEDER IF THAT ASSURES THEM OF AGRESSIVE PUPS. A genetic trait such as the smashed in face of a pug is in their DNA, their shitty attitude towards other dogs is not. It's a very simple, HIGHLY PUBLISHED AND STUDIED FACT.

All you have to do is type it in to google and read away.

Once again Airportis, I'm right and you're wrong. Now that, is in our DNA.

Hope this helps,
FDC

I'm not in a rage about anything and never was or will be.

Most people have a very limited knowledge of genetics, they think DNA accounts for everything and they just assume they're correct.

There is no gene that makes you a serial killer, blacks aren't born with an extra muscle in their leg to run faster like I've heard said before. It's just not how it works. DNA only accounts for your physical make up not your personality traits. Do autistic parents have autistic kids? They can but it's not genetic, do small people or dwarves have dwarf babies, yes quite often, it's a genetic trait of physical appearance. Very easy to understand.

What airportis is trying to say is that every single dog that looks with a big head is aggressive because they are born that way. He couldn't be more incorrect.

Is a boxer aggressive? They are often mistaken for a pit bull, especially in mixed breeds. Are all mastiffs aggressive, what about Catahoulas, or Staffordshire terriers? The statement "pit bulls are aggressive by nature" is incredibly flawed and easily disproven. Just look it up.

And for the record, I'm not trying to sway anyone's opinion, but I can try to educate those that don't "know for a fact" they are right and you're wrong but don't have a shred of evidence to back up their statements.

Your reading comprehension or ability to retain information is severely lacking.

In my original post...."do some end up not aggressive? sure"

Typical fdc, dilute the debate with irrelevant comparisons and then fail to even recall what original point he was arguing about said because so hell bent on attempting to be right.

There's a bit of reading from a person who is knowledgeable about dogs. Not someone who volunteers at a shelter and thinks they are a dog whisperer.

Hope that helps.

"
The heritability of abnormal aggression in certain breeds of dogs can no longer be denied. The bodies of these dogs have been selected to execute a killing bite more efficiently than other breeds. These dogs share physical conformation to the task of killing, including exaggerated jaw muscles, heavy necks and shoulders, and body mass that makes defense against an attack much more difficult. Among people who want dogs who can kill, these are the breeds of choice because they are physically more fit for it than other breeds."

Airportis,
Hey, first off I'm sorry for the insults towards you, I got a bit pissed at your post and some of the things you said towards me, but I still should have been more adult towards you.

The article you posted pretty much backs up everything I have stated. There is a difference between behavioral and physical traits obviously. Selective breeding accounts for much of the behavioral trait but it is controlled and manipulated by humans not by genetics. Aggression is not on the genome, however the physical traits that are on the genome that allow a dog to be comfortable in a certain situation or behavior are party of genetic make up.
All I'm trying to point out is aggression is not a genetic trait that all pit bull types are predisposed to at birth. That is it and this article says the same thing.
Again, I appreciate the effort and the post of this article and am sorry I got shitty with you. Have a good day man.

Cheers
