Was a balanced budget a concern for you prior to Obama taking office?
Yes...
Was a balanced budget a concern for you prior to Obama taking office?
The thought that serial killers and child rapists are "pardoned" by a deity for simply "believing" is offensive to any rational person.
I know... "God works in mysterious ways".I've heard there are some rational people who actually believe that God does not "owe" them an explanation. In addition (as preposterous as it sounds), they believe that God's ways are above their ways and His thoughts are not their thoughts.
How could this be?
Does that mean there may be a Diety who operates outside the realm of "human" logic and reasoning?
What if this Diety created mortal man so that man was not "entitled" to understand but to merely trust and believe?
Isaiah 45: 5-7 ~ "5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.
7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."
I know... "God works in mysterious ways".
Tell that to the parents of children who've been raped or murdered.
I'm not saying those who believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ should stop believing when tragedy enters their life. There are followers of Jesus Christ who had children raped and murdered and still believe.
How could this be?

I'm still waiting for just one of them to perform just one miracle. Healing an amputee would be good.
You and Buddy are dancing around the point. Its not enough to just believe.
I believe in miracles. If we could all see a miracle, our belief would no longer require a "leap of faith."
So would YOU accept a "pardon" by Jesus for the man who raped and brutally murdered your wife and children simply because the human scum that could do such a thing suddenly "found" God?
If we could all see a miracle, our belief would no longer require a "leap of faith."
Ah, the old "leap of faith", the assassins creed, Bin Laden's belief.
So, Buddy, why would a rational deity require something so speculative, so irrational?
I use the bible as the authority on these questions and I've said it before...
Hebrews 11:6 ~ "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
My most sincere answer would be this...
Take your questions to God and He will provide an answer. He will answer in His time, not when you expect a reply. And I assure you, when you receive His answer, it will be undeniable.
I use the bible as the authority on these questions and I've said it before...
Well then, I'll ask you a similar question, Buddy...Whatever someone believes in his relationship with God is none of my business. If he believes Jesus has forgiven him of his sin, that is part of private prayer between him and his creator.
We are all given that opportunity.
You and Buddy are dancing around the point.
Buddy said...
"Even the vilest offender
who truly believes
that moment
from Jesus
a pardon receives"
So would YOU accept a "pardon" by Jesus for the man who raped and brutally murdered your wife and children simply because the human scum that could do such a thing suddenly "found" God?
I wouldn't and I'll bet most self-proclaimed Christians wouldn't.
