Hedge:
do you simply base your opinion on laughing when we have a cold spell that lasts for about a week or so?
:142smilie :142smilie
That is priceless. That is priceless.
Could you two guys please let me know what part of it being winter time has to play with this cold streak?
Also what effect does el nino play in this cold streak and of course what about the polar vortex which is pumping all this cold air down into the canada and the usa?
Since you guys pretend to be the experts and know all about this please explain further.
This cold is nothing out of the norm for this time of the year with the current setup, please explain how this disproves global warming.
I know we have a blocking high in the north atlantic which is causing that low to retrograde back to the northeast coast which is why they are having snow and wind up there, which again is nothing abnormal.
I really want to learn from you two, please show me what I am missing.
Just to give you guys a heads up there is talk it may be cold in Feb and early March as well.
That is priceless.
Shawn's post below (to Hedge & Skulnik) was the highlight of the thread (IMO)... :142smilie
there is more truth in any science fiction book than there is in global warming, its made up for financial benefit

I'm still waiting for ONE PERSON who thinks global warming (in principle) is a farce to answer my simple question:
Do you actually think that man - especially in the United States - has not done damage to our eco-systems, atmosphere, and especially our waterways, during the industrial revolution and moving forward? Do you honestly think that there can be no repercussions from the pollution - air, agricultural chemicals, waste from industry - that our history has benefited from?
Anyone (conservative)?
I am not defending all Global Warming scenarios and positions. I am just asking each person to be realistic and think about what man (and especially our country) has done to our planet's ecosystem and expected future.
Completely dismissing an entire thought process, that is based on science, common sense, and history just does not make sense to me. Now complete global warming histrionics and overreactions to the situation legislatively does not make sense either.
But, the above questions stand. And I don't expect many serious answers, which tells me a lot...
The two posts immediately following yours pretty much puts to rest any chance that you'll find any conservatives on this site willing to offer any serious debate on this topic, Chad. And I don't expect many serious answers, which tells me a lot...
