West African flights should be screened. Why shouldn't they? Why allow a very small percentage of people to put the 319 million as BetOne stated at risk. .

If Ebola develops... This is a what if scenario. Worst case scenario.

Ebola and flu share similar symptoms. Identifying Ebola from flu in flu season would be very difficult.

The rest is what if worst case again.

I saw the point of the quote, let's prescreen West African flights to ensure we mitigate risk to general population.

That is my point.

I agree. Don't allow free entry without screening into the country from West Africa.

I just think this is over hyped by the media, and that main stream America will be in a panic for no reason. If our people of power is dumb enough to allow the flights from Africa to the USA, then that is another issue. I however, am not willing to panic and have the fear that media portrays be a primary concern "Just yet". Lets see how this plays out. JMO

Dude?! I'm not worked up about shit?! Yeah I'm shaking my head a bit but note worked up at all.
Here are the facts, the Ebola virus had killed 4,033 or so since March, mostly in Sierra Leone, Liberia area. Influenza, SARS, AIDS, all viruses from foreign countries killed more than a hundred times that in foreign countries. AIDS is a far bigger national threat to us than Ebola but I didn't see a single news show talk about any of them? What exactly are you trying to point out, that all this how and panic is justified because of one fatality?

No, Saint, I'm not a contrarian. That would mean that I argue against popular opinion. You are the only one here that thinks your opinion is the popular one. The majority of Americans don't think there is a conspiracy to kill people with disease. As a matter of fact, I would argue that you are rarely on the popular or correct side of any societal issue. Remember when you said that the affordable care act would ruin the country, be repealed, Obama would be impeached for Benghazi, the economy was going to be in ruins, and just sooooo much more? I doubt you do. Your memory is a covariance of your correctness.

I think the thread turned for the worse when Raymond insinuates that it's the President's plan to kill or have the virus spread onto it's own people. It's amazing that we have people who think this way, the fact that Raymond is definitely no the only one, I am sure Hedge will agree. So people with normal minds have to ask themselves, "Why do people think this way?"

Now onto the outbreak? Is it over hyped? As it stands right now a bit, but let's say a few infected people somehow slipped through the cracks and entered the country? That would be a scary scenario, the medical field is not equipped to deal with the situation. As a health care professional I personally know several nurses who I would not want out there in the field if an outbreak did happen and they have Bachelor's degrees.

I think that gives a lot of people plenty of pause. You can walk around that long without showing signs of being sick, so the experts say.

I have to be honest......I seriously figured we would have had a few cases by now, if this shit spread like a cold or the flu does. Just look around you, and see how many people sneeze and cough without covering up. Or they do it in their HAND, and then go about touching things around them. Disgusting.

I'm glad I was wrong to this point, but I still want this shit gone!
