I don't know this for a fact but it seems like you guys don't take your wives or girlfriends out much on a date on the weekends. Just a real nice get dressed up dinner at a cool, trendy high end, classy spot in town. I hope I'm wrong? What say you?

We don't live near any cities so the high end classy places around here are Longhorn Steak House, Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, etc. along that line. The brewery that opened here in town is pretty nice and we did dress nice that day but it was my birthday too. Dressing up really isn't our thing. BUT.....when we go to the casino we always go the Steakhouse- whichever one they have- and get a really nice meal with wine etc for about $250. We do that once or twice a year for a weekend getaway.

My wife and I have a dinner club with two other couples. Once a month we go to an old school supper club and then one of our houses for dessert and drinks. Very good meals around here don't need to be expensive.

What my wife likes even more is a well thought out home cooked meal. Often times its better than the food at a restaurant AND its a third of the price.

On Saturday we're having her family over for her birthday. I'm cooking everyone crab legs. They are already looking forward to it.
