Got it, bro.
And if the stove only 'halfway' works, there is a problem with the white wires?
You're gonna get someone killed on here.
here is the deal bro. If a stove was already located in this same spot then most likely the white wire coming from the wall is HOT. You have to hook the red from the stove to the white from the wall. Black to black and green to the copper wire. If only half the stove works then the white wasn''t hot.
That is correct. It was a older stove and I am replacing it with a glasstop. The older one had the old coils with the drips pans.
Thanks for the help
Isn't that what dawgball said in the first reply about 12 hours ago?
Glad you're not laying on the floor twitching!
Hell, I have been out working all day repoing cars trying to make a living, unlike some people on here waiting around for a reply.
All joking aside, thanks again, and I plan on going over there tomorrow to get it finished.
I just lurk on here anymore, no more gambling for me.
Didn't even have to get out of the truck!! :mj07:

I wondered how a thread asking a question of electricians could have 53 replies, so I thought I'd check it out.
What the fuk was I thinking?
