Major Brian Stanaland, the public information officer for the Oklahoma City Fire Department joined us Tuesday with tips for keeping our family safe from fire hazards.
Tips on staying safe while cooking include:
1. Never throw flour on a stovetop fire
2. Turn the stove off if possible
3. Smother with a lid if possible
4. With an oven fire, do not open the oven door and shut the oven off
5. Turn pot handles away from the edge to avoid children pulling hot items off the stove
6. Hire a professional when repairing or installing a stove

That is correct. It was a older stove and I am replacing it with a glasstop. The older one had the old coils with the drips pans.

Hell, I have been out working all day repoing cars trying to make a living, unlike some people on here waiting around for a reply.
