I installed alot of interior handrail in that
sub division in early 2000s

Installed some fence on the golf course.

I dont think there is land for new houses there anymore

Exactly. No more room for new houses. Damn KOD, you have probably been in my house. :mj07:
And, my golf balls probably hit a fence you have touched.

...........................................................

cant remember the street but it was the Kellog residence at a dead end road. I did the front gates, and alot of custom stuff in that house.

He wanted me to match brass shutters he saw in a book for some outside windows.

I charged him 4 grand for 2 sets. Damn that would be my down payment to the guy with the balloons to get into the masters.

There was a stream running beside the house and you could hear it from the master bedroom. It is a awesome house.

On the course!
Washington Avenue is pretty much anywhere, USA, and tall bushes and fences surround the course on all sides so there is no viewing it. One driveway off Washington is so obscure you pass it without notice. That is Magnolia Lane. Inside it is pristine, yyz, and there is no slap of the face. Sometimes you just need to keep your comments to yourself.

I'm only telling what two people have told me. I've never been there.

I do hear that Augusta is not-so-affectionately called Disgusta, though.

Here are some people who think the place is a pig pen, and they live there.

This gem of golf is apparently in a toilet of a community. I guess you feel like you need a shower just driving through the place.

I've been just outside of the course and I didnt get that impression either

I mean, it's not like you are in some snooty gated community.....it's just a city. Inside the fences though must be incredible.

I know a couple of people who have been.

They both said the same thing: Don't go.

The perception you get of the place from television is of such a pristine palace.....and you really get a slap in the face.

Jack,

My dad told me the badges came today. I'm gonna pick them up this weekend and post the picture of what they look like.

Any guesses?

Some folks from Augusta do call it Disgusta, but its a decent enough place. Inside the fences at Augusta National is truly SPECTACULAR. TV does not do it justice. Never seen such beauty. Go on a thurs. or fri., watch on tv sat. and sun. You really wont believe your eyes when you walk in there. Try to go to the par 3 tourney weds. also.:0074

I've been to the Wednesday Practice round 3 times. 99, 01, and 04. Wed. is the best day to go and during practice rounds you can snap piv when and where you want.

Been going to the Masters every year since I was a teenager. Fortunately my Father gets 2 badges every year and hasnt missed a Masters since 1971 (his first year). Unfortunately for Mother, her birthday is in early April and almost always falls during Masters week. By the way, They've been divorced for over 20yrs now. Weve basically tried staying in many different places and they are all expensive. If you wanna stay close to Augusta National and all the action I would recommend renting a house for the week/wknd. Masters week in Augusta is usually spring break for all the locals and they love to rent their houses out to pay for their spring break trip. Another option is staying at Reynolds Plantation which is about an hour away and absolutely amazing. Great golf, huge lake, houses for rent, and a ritz carlton inside the plantation as well. The only downside is the drive. As far as tickets go, yes they have gotten outrageously expensive over the past 10 years. Just remember, they are badges, not tickets. 2 badges is all you need, no matter how many people are in your party. ;)

Once you're in, you're in..

Headed to Augusta this afternoon. Still interested? Feel free to email me. I was pretty vague in my previous post. Via email I would be happy to explain the details and help you out.

Email sent, please check spam/junk mail as well.

In the shadows
Twice,

87 and 99

I was in School at Fort Gordon and they were giving tickets to soldiers in training there.

Some Shit Heads got caught by CID selling their FREE PASSES outside the gates for 500+ bones !

Obviously accomodations weren't a problem, we took a shuttle from Gordon to, yes, Disgusta, it is a shit hole of a town, to the front gate and troops were treated graciously.

I imagine now they are even treated better.
