if you keep your beer cold, use Co2, not air to drive the beer, you keep the dispensing system clean, and you buy kegs from breweries that have strict sanitizing and cleaning procedures, you're keg will last 4 months or more with minimal or no noticeable flavor change.

1/4 Barrel=7.75 Gallons or 992 Fluid Ounces - 82 12oz beers.

That's about 80 cents a beer plus the trouble of going to get it.

I'm getting one. :0074

I've had one for about 20 years. A half keg doesn't last long here at all. I go through one every 3 weeks on average. 168 beers with me and the lady. The price of a keg has gone up significantly here in pa. It's now $105 with tax. Haven't used it in awhile. Just as cheap to buy cases. Just too much trash to get rid of.:toast: :0074

I have one. I love it as I much prefer craft beer on tap.

I mostly buy 1/6 barrels to keep the variety. The amount of time they last greatly depends on a wide set of variables....

I got mine dirt cheap and had been used once because some dude had no control in his house and his wife told him that it better be out of the house after the first weekend he had it. Score!

At 0.80 per beer, hardly seems worth the investment, usually pay that or less per beer when buying it by the case, then sell empty's to scrapmanl

It's a small savings when it should be a nice savings but it's convenience. I think?
