one year mark? they got rid of before a year, or a keg lasted a year. If the latter, wow, they need a new hobby

Mine's collecting dust.

Thing is you run out of beer and then you head out to the store to buy a case.

forgot to mention you run out..........

Pain in the ass to restock when you had a few on a Sunday afternoon!

but, if she's sharp, she will count the kegs

I don't have that problem with my wife caring what I drink. She doesn't drink a drop but doesn't care what I drink.

They quit using it by the one year mark. Hell, two of them never made it to the third damn keg, they just started buying cases again.

If I was going to do it I would have to pay for a good beer though. I don't know that it would ever save me money.

I am thinking about one of these though. Very similar concept.

MJ, thats funny, my wife doesnt drink either (since our wedding night) . I think the 0.80 per beer is alittle high, but much easier to pick up a case on the way home and sneek it into the back garage than trying to sneek a new keg in

I have one. I love it as I much prefer craft beer on tap.

I mostly buy 1/6 barrels to keep the variety. The amount of time they last greatly depends on a wide set of variables....

I got mine dirt cheap and had been used once because some dude had no control in his house and his wife told him that it better be out of the house after the first weekend he had it. Score!

I would consider this once I get a second house which will probably be sometime soon. Quick question Jason, do you only run one kind of beer out of it or do you run many? I know at my local wine and beer store they have regular draft (bud light, coors light, bud, etc.) and others unique kegs (Blue Moon, Boulevard, Bass, etc.). I think it would be ideal to run more than one kind of beer out of it, but if that's a problem I'd probably toss the idea altogether.

I'm in the market for a dual tap kegerator for my back porch . I'm going to put a compact refrigerator next to it to chill glasses.

This dual tap edgestar seems very reasonably priced and fits a pair of sixth kegs.

Why do you need dual tap?

I spoke with local keg shop today. Of the 25 or so sixth kegs he offers, there are several local options I like, plus a full selection of new Belgium brews. Was thinking I'd start with fat tire and an IPA....probably Ranger.
