was that helicopter crash near you?

I hadn't even hear about it until I read this. That is very sad. It is not near me. You can see on this map roughly where I am. Huanchaco is just outside of Trujillo. The red dot is the site of the crash.

Do you have any advice for someone considering moving out of the U.S. that you think would be helpful?

That is kind of broad. If you narrow it down a bit more, I would be happy to answer any questions. I may not be the best model though. I basically left for a week-long vacation and just never came back.

you have to follow your dreams. Life is to short to waste it always wishing you were doing something else. Even if your dreams don't live up to how you pictured them, the journey itself is always worthwhile.

Best advice!!

Just finished a book and your thought reminded me of this passage I highlighted:

"It's an essential part of maturing, putting fear aside, because if there's anything that cripples us it is fear. In some ways I think it's the essential evil because it is the root of so many others. We don't take jobs we would love because we are afraid to try something new. We don't move to another city or end a bad relationship because fear smothers adventure and self-interest.... When you look back on the evil we have done as a country or the chances we have missed as individuals, fear is almost always the driving force."

a lot goes into it depending on where you want to move. lots of legalities most people arent aware of when they think hey ill just up and move to a new country. definitely requires a lot of research.

I believe he posted some things towards people that weren't exactly appropriate and Jaek said something to him. He got upset, left and hasn't posted since.

Of course, I blame Jaek.

Hope this helps,
