I actually never saw it and don't think it is funny at all. If he said this to a person i couldn't stand i wouldn't think it was funny either. Weasal has said much funnier things than this, even to me.
On a side note i take it as a badge of honor when i can see things most can't. Kinda like betting on sports or this scam of a war. I gave everyone a script on how the NBA would sort out their playoffs a week before it happen. The things i said would happen, it might have been easier to hit the lottery if you thought these sports were on the up and up. Its over there for all to see. Step by step. You would have to be a magician to predict what i predicted but its not really that hard. You just think like the crooks who run that sport and it is actually kinda easy. Same like the crooks who run politics. If you just have the ability to open up your mind and brush off the pigeons who throw around the dreaded "conspricay" word you will be fine. I know Chadman thought i was nuts when i first posted but you can see in his very last couple of post that he is getting a little nastier because like me he is just getting sick of this garbage war and the word games the neocons play with it.
In closing you find DTB, AR or Weasal constantly going after Reid or Pelosi. Instead of looking at the stealing and the lying from this administration which doesn't seem to be a problem at all for them they go after the word games the neocons probably email them daily or most likely they get their fill from Fox News. Me i have said it before. Its two buckets of shit just one smells a little better. Im not gonna stick up for Pelosi if i think she does something i don't like. Or Reid. As a matter of fact i think Reid is totally wrong here. He knows the neocon's like to play the nasty word game cause guys like Weasal, Ar, and Dtb run with them cause they don't know any better. Reid should have known better than this. If i knew him i would grab him by one of his big ears and whisper in it with a blow horn and tell him to say we won the fuking war its a political situation now. But some democrats will always be gullible and fall for the word game. I never said i was smart its just a lot of people are clueless on what is going on right in front of their face.

why i'm commenting on this post....i'll never know. i guess i have nothing better to do at the moment....

you don't think it's funny what gw said about you but it seems that it doesn't bother you when you have called me or others that you don't agree with stupid.....or it doesn't bother you by constant stereotyping people from the south.....a tip for you: you get what you give in life.

you are very fortunate that you have the "gift" to see things that others can't. you are probably applying this 'gift" to your personal life. having the "gift" must have made you very wealthy & successful in life where you can sit back, relax & have free time. that must explain why you have over 3400 posts in just 8 months.well, speaking for the rest of the forum, i think it's very nice of you to share your "gift" with the rest of us.....it's very big of you.

in closing.....do you take medication to fight your delusions ?

I don't think what he said was funny because i have seen him say much funnier stuff. Even to me. I have seen many people laugh on this site at ridiculous things. Was this funny? I just don't think so and it is not because he said it about me. Was what i said over your head? The South, well im a realist and time and time again they kill the country with the way they vote. Not all sir, but the majority. The majority could be 51 percent. Just look who they voted for and you tell me if the guy did a good job. Ah never mind. Im not sure if you know this but trust me im not the only one to have these thoughts. You have an attorney who posts here who would say the same thing. The post count? I am on the comp about 5 hrs a day. Is this a "post only a few post, post site"? When it is let me know. Is it a lot? Sure. Does it bother people? I guess it does cause i saw it mention a few times. Does it bother me that it bother you? No, not really. If Jack says something i will tone it down. When i first signed up I put up 2 grand at Bodog in the name of this site trying to do my part. Is this a big deal no not really but it doesn't hurt. As for the gift i feel i have? A goddam child should be able to see what i see. Katrina, Lying us into a war, war profiteering, trying to sell our ports to Arabs, outing a CIA agent because her husband told the truth, not pardoning two border agents, firing DA"s for political purposes, getting arms over to Israel in the Israel Lebanon conflict faster than we could get water to our very own people in New Orleans,Firing general Shinsenski because he said we needed more troops, Planning to go into Iraq even before they were ever elected. I mean i can go on and on and on. What is it gonna take Bush to shit right on the top of your head? I see Smurph, Chadman, and a bunch of guys who lean left all call Pelosi to the carpet when she makes an ass out of herself, but god forbid if the three stooges ever call Bush to the carpet on anything. Its pathetic. Its incredible that anyone could be this blind. Oh and by the way nobody has taken as much racism or hatred than me on this site because now get this, Im part Arab. Irish, Italian, and Arab. Have you ever heard me cry once about the vulgar language towards Arabs on here? I mean if Pujo had his way he would shoot me readingr some of the things he says about arabs but i can look past this kinda stuff unlike some. Have a nice night.

Spongy,

Your posts are getting longer and longer. It's like listening to my wife. You're taking this stuff much too seriously. Pelosi, Reid / Corrupted seed. Name any politician. They're all disgusting. This one said this and this one said that. Ha! Who cares! Nothings changed. It's still about photo opps, sound bites and personal agendas. The average man shouts in the darkness. Relax. Two quick points. To each his own --- some like and can relate to Bush, Cheney, et al's character and some can't. We ALL know, including you and Weasel, that that number is growing smaller every day.

Quite true--
Let me list a few character traits that I admire.

To begin with
--family backround--both come from families of several generations on no divorce.
While might nean little to some--I see that as combination of making good choice intially and not quiting during bad times but being able to work through adversity.

Both were financially set prior to politics--Politics was not a means to aquire wealth.

Both are compassionate--they don't talk about helping the little guy they actually do it with generous voluntary contributions to the less fortunate.

Both are committed to their convictions--they don't flop around on issues everytime the political winds blow a diff direction.

Honesty--have yet to catch either in statement they knew to be false.
+++++++++++++++++++

and on your --

"Facing reality is what most Americans want at this point, except for Bush administration apoligists who are trying to save face in a losing argument."

While I can't speak for other Americans--

I am extremely happy with economy/jobs-inflation-interest rates-market-t--in light on the catastophes that have occurred during his tenure to date.

The war--I believe taking war to them is much more productive than doing nothing.
Hard for them to mount offensive on us again when they are on all out defense.

--and let me tell you what most americans have faced--a bombardment of negatives by the press--and good things escaping reporting.

Best proof is when polled the the huge diff from people saying country was headed in wrong direction but direct oppisite results when asked how they were doing.

i can testify that the man does have a gift...he told me that he has irrefutable proof that karl rove was involved with the anthrax attacks on patrick leahey among others and that he ordered the downing of paul wellstone’s plane....

not to mention the v.tech massacre, brussell sprouts, the cubs' world series drought, tsunamis, and an educational system that produces single-celled organisms like spytheweb....

btw...i`ve also been informed that chadman has proof that dick cheney has a statue of "dr. evil" on the dash of air force 2......

Interesting response, shows again that people that support others take different things to heart. I could look at the things you bring up and look at them completely differently - and do, pretty much.

Pointing one thing out rather quickly, though...not sure where you are looking and not finding story on the market high - quick review of MSNBC.com, CBSnews.com, and CNN.com, the top story on all three business sections is that very story. I looked at only three supposed "liberal" leaners, and it was top headline. So, does that make your point wrong, or just misunderstood?

Do I really have to show comments made by both Bush and Cheney that they have to know to be false? They've been linked and shown in this forum alone many times, as you probably know. If they say the complete opposite thing in two different situations, on the exact same subject, does that mean they are making one false statement at some point? Maybe you are using some kind of intricate word game here to make a claim that I assume - yes, assume - EVERYONE on this board knows is as false as known statements made by the two leaders. I don't know, but if I have to illuminate this in a post again, I sure can. And I think you know I can, but maybe not. We'll see.

I would agree that both are committed to their convictions, and I submit this is at the root of the problem with both. They are simply unwilling to entertain any other idea, or change an original opinion, no matter what happens. Flexibility has to enter into any kind of thought process, when change is occuring. In my estimation, there is none with either person, as a course of action or thinking. They outright dismiss other opinions - Cheney far more than Bush, as I don't think he has as many actionable opinions. I think he is a delegator of decisions for the most part, and stubbornly sticks to those delegations until reality becomes too strong to stick to them any more.

Both were financially set prior to politics, but have used politics to advance their personal and connections wealth in case after case. I look at Cheney as being more of a self-made success story, without going back to check, and Bush I look at completely as being a product of family connections and being propped up for success. He definitely has a history of business failure, and personal failures and weaknesses.

We will have to agree to disagree on the level of compassion these two have. You are holding up charity as being the measuring stick, and then rail on an entitlement system of government being a form of not really helping people - handouts, not handups, etc. What they stand for is in no way connected to a charitable government mentality, but people taking care of themselves in all cases, and controlling their own issues. I think the democratic mantra is more of a compassionate one than the republican one, you feel differently based on what I consider to be semantics and a big leap of faith. I feel democrats feel that our country is only as strong as our weakest and strive to help them in different ways, you feel they should help themselves and republicans help them by forcing them to deal with issues to "better" themselves. Probably a lot of truth in both - I know there is - but I certainly do not think of Bush and Cheney as being compassionate people. I'd start at looking at how they communicate, what they say, how dismissive they are of those with other opinions.

I can understand your point of taking the war to terrorists as we know them to be is a sensible plan. Simply, this has nothing to do with Iraq, as has been proven over and over again, whether it will ever be admitted by some or not. And I also submit that the terrorists seem to be uniting again, and attacking both us and Iraqi citizens with regularity. Of course this happens when you put yourself so close to them - at least in the case of the insurgents and the new terrorists that have congregated near our troops.

The Bush family wealth was not created by selling political influence? That has to be a joke, right? If you had ever done any true research in the Bush family history you would know what total bullshit that statement is.

I dont have a problem with Reid's idea, but I have a big problem with his delivery. Words are politicians weapons and Reid shows clearly that he is more interested in scoring points with his democratic base than actually serving US interests.

One thing I cant understand is why some dems try to attack Bush with just plain defeatist talk. They are more concerned with trying to turn the country against the current admin than win the hearts and minds of moderates and project a positive image to the rest of the world. And, projecting that is insanely important in the war we are in. It is 50/50 war of arms/war of words. We are winning by a land slide on the first count, getting killed on the other. Wouldn't the country be better served by talking about how the army quickly obliterated its opponent, overthrew its leader, and then hunted him down like a rat and hung him. All for the crime of MAYBE having nuclear ambitions. Given that, the army has succeded in spectacular fashion. Now, they are trying to help this defeated enemy from killing themselves. Not really our problem, but we've shown we were willing to help. Our mission WAS accomplished. But, being good guys, we tried to save them from themselves. Time for them to show progress or we leave and they can keep murdering each other. We are not their daddies. And, should that fool in charge of Iran think that our involvement in Iraq this weakens us, he should take a harder look at what became of Iraqs army and its leaders. Not a really warm and fuzzy story for either. We did it with a minumum of casulaties and could easily do the same in Iran. Why cant Harry take that tack? Is he so clueless about the non-liberal mind that he does not understand that a position like this puts us in a stronger position with our enemies-hopefully scares the bejesus out of them, is more appealing to moderates, puts us in better position to win the PR side of this war AND still gets across his original idea for pulling out at a specific date? Instead he'd rather make big headlines on Al Jeezera and in libral rags all over the country for publically opposing our commander in chief.

Most likely because the family like the Kennedy family has a long political history. Nobody would be researching the Reagan or Carter familys history. weasal why don't you go google that great family you so love. You can find out about the very first crook Prescott and work your way down to the one dumb son.

Jabbers--I would be subject to change my view that Bushes wealth was aquired before they entered politics--however I will need more than opinion from a liberal--will be waiting for any facts you have to support this opinion.

As for GW He 1st served as politician in 1994 as Gov of Texas--I expect he made a little money prior from oil business--and had a little extra change receiving 15 million on 800,000 investmentment of Texas Rangers :)

Now that is my short research on family history and reason for saying he had made his fortune before entering politics--maybe you could share with us which history book your quoting?

i haven`t researched the kennedy`s,but they do have a long "criminal" history to go with their political history ....it` public knowledge...

so???

why would i research them?...and mention it here...to disparage them?...to attribute the sins of the fathers to their children?...

to smear a man because of some indiscretions he had no part of?.....

you don`t believe in a man "making his own bones"?...being judged on his own merits?....or lack thereof....

i guess this goes along with the "send the bush twins to iraq" bizarro logic.....

you guys are so delusionally obsessed with the character assassination of one political figure....one idiot savant....one stupidly/brilliant man....a guy that can pull off 9/11..yet couldn`t figure out how to plant a few wmd`s in iraq......

so obsessed that you dig into his family history.....disparage his children....

of course you`re also the guys that believed that the cia stole kennedy`s corpse and performed surgery on him to make it look like the bullets that killed him entered from the back instead of the front...

delusional...the foaming at the mouth is the dead giveaway...

Play on words is it not. I don't like the way Reid said it. However the way are men have been used in Iraq they may have lost do to politics. Our leaders have miss used our man power over 4 years now. They have them fighting a losing war.So Reid is right in a way. But didn't say it right. Done the right way. This war if you must call it that. Would have been won and done in less then two years. What will all you lovers of this plan going to be saying two years from now when all is the same. That is if Bush is allowed to keep screwing it up. Some how he needs to be
stopped. He keeps saying listen to the Generals. Yes Mr Bush you should have. But instead he fires those that don't walk with him. Or should we say there assignment changes. Yes were left with a civl war as Sr Bush tried to warn his know it all Son.

Here's a brief history from FamousTexans.com on the business "legacy" of Jr. Bush. To say it is less than spectacular is appropriate...:

Profession: In the West Texas energy business, George W. Bush started out researching who owned mineral rights. He later traded mineral and royalty interests and invested in drilling prospects. He had started his own oil and gas company by 1978, taking $17,000 from his education trust fund to set up Arbusto Energy (arbusto means Bush in Spanish). The company fell on hard times when oil prices fell. He made several attempts to revive the business, first by changing the company's name and later by merging with other companies. In 1983, Bush?s company was rescued from failure when Spectrum 7 Energy Corporation, a small oil firm owned by William DeWitt and Mercer Reynolds, bought it. Bush became chief executive officer. Harken Energy Corporation acquired Spectrum 7 in 1986, after Spectrum had lost $400,000. In the buyout deal, Bush and his partners were given more than $2 million worth of Harken stock for the 180-well operation. Bush became a director and was hired as a "consultant" to Harken. He received another $600,000 of Harken stock, and has been paid between $42,000 and $120,000 a year. By the spring of 1987, Harken was in need of cash. So Bush and his fellow Harken officials met with Jackson Stephens, head of Stephens, Inc., an investment bank in Little Rock, Arkansas (Stephens contributed $100,000 to the Reagan-Bush campaign in 1980 and gave another $100,000 to the Bush dinner committee in 1990.) Stephens arranged for Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) to provide $25 million to Bush?s company in return for a stock interest in Harken. As part of the deal, Sheikh Abdullah Bakhsh, a Saudi real estate tycoon and financier, joined Harken's board as a major investor. Stephens, UBS, and Bakhsh each had ties to the infamous, scandal-ridden Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI). In 1990, Bush sold his remaining stock options and left the oil business. Writer Jack Colhoun revealed some details of that stock sale, referring to Bush by his childhood nickname ?Junior?:

On June 22, 1990, George Jr. sold two-thirds of his Harken stock for $848,560-a cool 200 percent profit. The move was well timed. One week after Junior sold his stock, Harken announced a $23.2 million loss in quarterly earnings and Harken stock dropped sharply, losing 60 percent of its value over the next six months. On August 2, 1990, Iraqi troops moved into Kuwait and 541,000 U.S. forces were deployed to the Gulf.

"There is substantial evidence to suggest that Bush knew Harken was in dire straits in the weeks before he sold the $848,560 of Harken stock," asserted U.S. News & World Report. The magazine noted Harken appointed Junior to a 'fairness committee' to study possible economic restructuring of the company. Junior worked closely with financial advisers from Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Company, who concluded "only drastic action could save Harken."

A year earlier, in 1989, Bush prepared for his move from the oil business to the sports business when he helped assemble a group who purchased the Texas Rangers baseball team from Eddie Chiles. He and Rusty Rose served as managing general partners until Bush was elected Governor of Texas in 1994.
