NOT typing in notepad this time so I know this one will get to this forum.
Looks like there are some decent races today, so here ya go...
6th race: Well, you can do ONE stinkin dollar tickets and still do fine IF one cashes. Two sets of zactas for me -> no. 9 top/bot 3,4,5,8 AND no. 8 top/bot 3,4,5. No side plays.
7th race: Sorry, this one is worser. A little complicated, but here goes - the way these bets are written, even at 1 stinkin dollar tickets could produce an excellent payout. That's cause I'll have the KEY exactas (I like best) on TWO tickets (making it a $2 bet). AND, if no. 7 or 9 wins as well that could make these bets return enough to put some actual weight in the ole money bags.
I always play 2 dollar tickets for exactas; well, almost always. For this race, the zacks would cost $40 the way they are written and I think that's too much even if I'm only playing 3 races. Here's the zactas - 1,3,7 top/bot 2,3,7,9. Side action is to bet nos. 7 and 9 to WIN, only.
This race sure as hell looks like a 3 figure exacta payoff. Hope so.
8th race: Ugh, I believe this is one one of them "either or" waces. EITHER no.2 gets in the zacta OR the winnah is no. 1 or 8 and just forget about the no. 2. Now what the hell do ya do?
Two strikes against that no. 2 are the trainer is so/so and it's coming off a bit of a layoff. But, just about EVERY thing else I check points to the no. 2 hoss. I guess the answer to this dilemma is to check out that no. 2 in the prerace before betting anything in this race methinks.
Oh, thinking bout looking for LOOKERS, here's something that may be of interest and maybe helpful. Now, I guess I better not tellyas that, after watching almost all them breeder waces Fri. and Sat. and didn't bet a thing - I finally broke down and played a few exacta and two horses to win the Classic. Only two dollar tickets of course on these races between clones. And I ain't gonna tellyas about me hitting the winnah and that exacta either while only playing a few tickets too .. . OOPS! LOL. But here's something that you may be interested in and may be of some value to ya...
Did anybody tape or Tivo the whole telecast of the Classic, from paddock to post parade, to warm up on the track before the race? IF SO, play it and see if you can tell how that there no. 4 LOOKED and acted (even if it's a subtle difference) a little different than the others. He wasn't quite a "10" but he was as close to it as any horse I've seen in about a year while looking for a "10". I never heard of that horse or his jockey but he was a L@@KER alright.
That's it. G.L.
