North of Titletown AKA Boston
The Red Sox are playing the Orioles in Baltimore June 29 - July 1. I am thinking about taking my wife and 2 kids down to see a game and tour Wash. DC. Any info about the 2 areas would be much appreciated.

Where should we stay? Balt., Wash or both? I was thinking of going to the Mon. June 29th game and maybe spending the rest of the time in Wash., unless there are things in the Baltimore area people think we should see. I was thinking of 3 or 4 nights hotel, so maybe stay Monday night after the game in Baltimore and the rest of the nights closer to Wash. or stay all nights in Balt. or all nights in Wash area? Any thoughts from people familiar with the area would be very helpful.

Any and all info welcome and appreciated...

Considering your company....I would take them to the Baltimore Aquarium which is right there near the stadium. that will be a good time for you all! There's an ESPN Zone there too for lunch or dinner, amongst other options. I think the inner harbor is good for families.

as for hotels in the baltimore area.. just hop on hotwire or something similiar and book a room in the inner harbor area. they all suck equally.

for stuff to do, inner harbor is fun for the kids. plenty of street performers on the harbor for the kids and you guys to watch and walk around and eat ice cream. I think the dinosaur museum is still there.. the aquarium is top notch too.

everybody`s correct,blitz...the inner harbor is the place to be if you must be in b`more..

no need to go anywhere else...the powers that be have poured millions and millions into the inner harbor,...and almost totally neglected the city at large....

right across the water is fort mchenry...and that`s actually kinda` cool...

btw...for those horse racing buffs...the company that owns the preakness(magna) is declaring bankruptcy, thanks in part to political wrangling over a "slots" bill.......it`s not out of the realm of possibilty, that this is the last,or next to last preakness in b`more....

Thru hotwire, you can get a room at the tremont plaza for 91 bucks.

I put in the dates, 29 jun to 1 jul.

it spit back a 3.5 star hotel with ammenities for 91 a night. - which is the Tremont.

It's a pretty nice joint and very close to the aquarium and stuff. like 2-3 blocks if i remember right.
