My Heisman vote is in:

Devonta Smith

How can you vote for Jones when he is not the best player on his own offense. The media loves QBs, but Smith deserves it and I do not think the vote should be close.

I do not see anyone stopping this Bama offense.

If you are going to talk the talk you better walk the walk!!

You know I hate being wrong about games I feel good about, but I was just wrong. BYU did not adjust well to the short time for the game and I should have accounted for this more, but I was just wrong about the line of scrimmage. Have to give Coastal a lot of credit. They handled themselves very well on both lines of scrimmage and that is why they won the game. They run blocked very well and got pressure on Wilson who was not very good in this game. Very impressed with the Coastal coaching staff and I think they definitely out-coached BYU's staff. I thought we would see better halftime adjustments. I like this Coastal team all year, but just thought BYU was better. Just wrong about this one, so we move on.

I'd be surprised if S Carolina wasn't interested in the C Carolina coach. From what I hear SC made a run at Satterfield (Louisville coach); but he's no fool, why go to the SEC, when overall, competition will be less difficult in the ACC. Regardless, I doubt the guy will be at C Carolina for very long, that's a darn good team he's put together.

I agree. Surprised he did not get more consideration for the SC job, but Beamer has history there. He will have a big time job soon. I was very impressed with them.

Looking at Maryland already for next week. Need to check a couple things but I think they will handle Rutgers, so I like them laying less than a TD.

First play in:

Maryland -6.5 -130

I will have more on this after Champions League this week, but I wanted to get it in under a TD at a decent price. I expect Maryland to be better offensively than they were last time out and their defense should be able to stuff Rutgers.

And I also made this play this morning:

Alabama Championship +100

Yes, the odds suck, but I have watched an awful lot of college football this year and I do not think there is a team out there that can out score Bama. Their defense has some weaknesses but it is getting better, but the offense is just unstoppable. Also will have some nice middle possibilities in the playoff. For the record, I am not a futures better at all, never have been as I hate tying up money for months and one injury can change everything, but this just looks like a good value to me right now with only a couple games left.

Really looking forward to a couple of the conference championships and the playoffs as I think there are going to be some great opportunities to make some money.

Thanks for the Bayern total play. I had to play it over 2.5 but it was plus money. Missed your 2 winners yesterday.
Going to play Maryland. Using Florida State-1 in a big teaser. Can?t see Duke putting up much of a fight. Their QB completed something like 22 passes for 98 yards. They have no downfield attack.
Also going with UNC in big teaser vs Miami. Just not sure whether to buy it to 10 or 14. I will even make small ML play on them. UNC will score 35 points or so. I just hope the defense doesn?t give up 50 .

My pleasure. Some big Champions League game this week. Will have some of the games up shortly.

Thanks for the acc insights. Waiting on that UNC/Miami total. Not sure they can make it high enough.

Just checked my lines, and Maryland is already -8. Still like it?

I do, but if is was me I would buy it down to whatever you are comfortable with. I know many hate buying points but I do it religiously and it has saved me more money than I can count over the many years. I think Maryland wins by 10 or more, but you never know. I just do not see Rutgers scoring many points in this game and I am betting on little Tua being much, much better than he was against Indiana.

I just checked and it is 7.5 now at Heritage.

Put this in this morning:

UNC/Miami Ov 67

I guess it is an obvious play, but I really do not see how this game is not a shootout. UNC's defense has shown some improvement, but Miami's offense with King is strong and I feel good about UNC getting their points. This should be a very entertaining game and I could see both teams in the 40's.

Good luck. Teased and parlayed UNC up to 7. Should be a great game. Winner may go to Orange Bowl
Thanks for the 50.00 I made following you in soccer today on Dortmund. Never even heard of them until I saw your pick. Ended up watching the game.

Awesome, love hearing that. We have brought quite a few to the game over there. Best sport in the world to bet on and actually make money. Crushed it today!

Bason-- stupid question. What (if any) is the difference between a goal line (of say -1/2 -120) and a moneyline of simply -120. Isn't that the same thing ? (seeing as how you lose on a draw--unless you played draw).

Thanks !

No stupid questions when you are learning. In that case it is the same line. Goal lines start to move to -1 when the money line gets to about -140 and goes up from there. When the money lines are about +125 you typically get goal lines at a Pk.

Thanks Bason---but if it is the same line, which is what I thought, why do the books offer it two different ways ?

I just added more at -5.5.

There are no certainties with this team, but they have all their players back. Remember, they had 5 starters on offense out against Indiana. Plus, they had no time to practice and now they have been on the field for two weeks. I just have a feeling that the offense will be clicking. I also think they want to have a winning season. I know that sounds a little stupid given the circumstances, but they have not had a winning season since 2014. My guess is Locksley is preaching that this is the start of next year, as most of their starters are back. I just expect a spirited effort from them and a big game from little Tua and Funk (who is a senior and very popular given what he has gone through to stay on the field). If Maryland's offense plays like they did against Penn State, I think they win handily because Rutger's offense is just bad and Maryland's defense has held its own. I still think MD wins this game by 10+

Added a couple:

Georgia TT Ov 34
Bama Ov 68

Missouri's defense is bad and Georgia has a much better offense with JT Daniels under center. Arkansas put 50+ on the Tigers so I think GA puts up at least 40.

Went back and forth with the Bama Over or the TT, but decided on the Over though I am not opposed to the TT Ov 50. I see no way in hell Arkansas stops Alabama.
