the one kid pretty much talked me into the HTC touch (i think that's what it's called) but i would rather get it from verizon. What a douche nozzle. I would have kicked him in the nuggets and asked for another sales person.

so i go into an ATT store and they ask how they can help me. (nobody in there except 3 sales guys)
wife tells them i want an iphone
guys asks me why so i try to tell him what i want it for. the phone, email and something easy to text with.
he says unless i'm really into having an ipod and a toy to play with.... and my main priorities are good phone quality, and email, just go next door and buy a blackberry :scared
true story.
wait until 6 november when verizon rolls out their phone that competes against the iphone. It uses google's Android 2.0 and it going to be slicker than snot.
It's called "Droid"
The Droid is going to be as good or better than the iPhone. I have had my iPhone for about 6ish months. I wish we would have waited because being on AT&T blows donkey nuts.
The iPhone App store will be tough to compete with, but with the new development tools out like Appcelerator Titanium the programming involved to work on other platforms is lowering.
If I were not locked into a contract, I would be planning on switching to the Droid once I read a few reviews.
The real scary thing that the Droid makes apparent is the viability of all of the Garmin products. The Google Maps Navigation looks incredible.
I'm going to get myself some Droids in November.

I'm up for 2 new phones on my Verizon contract. BTW, I'm with Jack in that I will stay with Verizon. Not because I "like" them but because AT&T and Sprint suck and drop calls all the time. They have a superior network compared to other providers, at least on the East coast.
