BlackJack poll, cheating?

Ok, was having a "discussion" with Jack, Soul Train, BDB in another thread. What would you guys do in this circumstance?

You're playing Black-Jack at a casino, and the dealer is not very good, she is flashing her down card to you every time she deals, so you know what she has. Do you play, obviously upping your bets, or do you tell the Pit Boss because you consider this "stealing"? Do you think you will have "bad karma" for awhile after this? What about a book posting a bad line? Do you tell them about that or go after it and hope to get paid? Comments welcome..

Is it your fault if a Sportsbook posts an incorrect line? Are you stealing if you bet on that line? Whats the difference?

you play hard !! why ... because they have the right to make you leave when they THINK you might have a edge or they THINK your cheating .... seen my brother get toss over a very hot run .. and i KNOW he was JUST on a hot run ..... its pitt boss fault if he didnt also see it !

I'm sure I would get caught noticing the card and the dealer would be gone. Play until Dealer is removed or changed.

I've spent a lot of time in our local Blue Chip Casino here in Mcity and I've seen them pull some serious chit on "hot" players. I've seen pit bosses tell a hot shooter at the craps table that he can't "set the dice" anymore......of course this only happens after the guy has made 5 passes and thrown a 100 #'s. I've also seen the trick pulled where they change the stick every 5 minutes instead of the normal 20-25 minutes...all in an attempt to screw with a shooters mind and the energy at the table. I've also had a buddy at a BJ table who was hot as hell playing heads up....he bets fairly large....pit boss came over and told the dealer to reshuffle before they even came close to the cut card. Funny how they are your nicest friend when they are dropping your "hard cash" in the money box.....but they try to screw with you every way possible when you are a "threat." So as far as I'm concerned, it is fair game if they are going to throw a weak dealer out there.....that is there own fault......give them a little payback if you can.

I totallyl agree I didn't hire her they did. :s4: (maybe she blowing the pit boss ) I might tell her to be careful but I would never call over the pit boss. As far as lines go these books are in business to make money. If a contractor miss quoted a job would you expect him honor his quote. I would

A. How this is different than a book posting a bad line.

B. Why you consider it dishonest and "stealing"

if a sportsbook has an obvious BAD LINE up, i KNOW i'm not going to take advantage of it.

1) i might get booted for trying to fuk them.
2) they might leave it up and take my money if it loses and cancel the bet if it wins.
3) it ain't right.

betting into an obviously bad line is unethical imo. im not talking about if a local gives you a newspaper line that is "off" by a few points. but i do think its unethical to bet a team +7 if the line is obviously -7. in that case, the line is obviously wrong.

as for the blackjack thing, i dont see a problem with looking if its blatantly obvious. if youre not using a cheating device, but instead just using your own eyes and seeing what is out there in the open, i dont see that as unethical.

hard to justify why i feel this way on both topics. but those are my two opinions.

A book posting a bad line is completely different. That is, in all probability, a technical error made when inputting the data. It's an error in how the wagering options are presented, not the actions that are being wagered on. The blackjack equivalent to that would be if a player was dealt an extra card or dealt out of sequence. If that happened, the play wouldn't stand, just like betting into a bad line.

The dealer exposing her hole card is like the game itself. They have a weak player on the court, so to speak. It's up to the coach/pit boss to get her out of there.

Well Jack I will tell you why my (stupid) analogy works and youre retarded one doesnt. In BOTH cases of my example, the casino and the book are both trying to take my money. The bank is NOT trying to win my money, AND the teller could be held responsible for making a mistake and have to make this money up herself. Same thing if a Waitress gives you the wrong change. The only reason you have given me at all that I think would sway me at all is that you might get booted if they think you are trying to fukc them. Im always trying to fukc them though? Arent you? I want their money and they want mine. The very fact they might keep my money if it loses but screw me if it wins is reason enough for me to take shots at them. These people are not my friends, nor do they live in my community such as my local. I do not play poker with them or golf like I might my local. So I wouldnt try to angle shoot my local, but I would a book in a second. If they quote it, they should stand by it!!! It works that way in most of the rest of the world!

then use this example.

you bet a bad line. the bet loses ANYWAY and the book keeps your bet. you LOSE.

you bet a bad line. the bet WINS but they say it was a bad line and cancel the wager.

meanwhile, you thought you'd be real slick and bet the opposite with another book with the chance of a nice middle. guess what? you lost DOUBLE!

BTW, if a book doesn't cancel the wager BEFORE the game starts, I believe it should be a bet. they shouldn't have the option to cancel the bet AFTER the game has been decided.
