Yesterday was the first day I broke down, since Philly stopped, and checked out Saratoga just to see if can SEE something good. Maybe MJ can verify that I logged in about a minute before post for the 7th race yesterday. I was gonna mention a hoss that was ALMOST a 10* that I saw in the prerace. I already played an zacta wheel, 3 stinkin bucks over ALL and 2 worser stinkin bucks on the bottom under ALL on this horse that just SCREAMED for me to play him in the prerace for that 7th race. I got another look at him just before I was gonna type something here and decided I better get some more of this hoss and, besides, it wouldn't do any Mad Jacker any good if I did get to post cause thems just started to load. I got me $20, Win/Place on the no. 7 hoss. IF THIS WAS PHILLY I WOULDA GOT OUT THE "C" notes cause this hoss was just about a 10* at 6-1. I promised myself that I would definitely send it in the next time I saw a 10* in the prerace. Just couldn't do it cause this is the SPA.

I almost turned off the dang computer in disgust after watching my no. 7 hoss get side swiped (hit pretty good too) WAY wide at the back of the pack of 10 coming out of the first turn. At that point he was dead last, about 30 lenghts behind with no chance. SHEEET!

Check out the replay if ya can of this race or just check the chart. I musta watched live/tv/puter thousands of races and I can't recall one like this one probably cause I saw EXACTLY what happened to that no. 7 hoss early on in the race. It will tellya the difference FOR ME that answers the question.. do I do better just watching them before they race or just spend hours handicapping them. The race was just unbelieveable.

Maybe posting this STUFF will help somebody know that what I see is better than what I cap.

Looks like Hamster is around, so I'm gonna try to do it RIGHT today. NOT ADVISING you, Ham, to play what I post, but knowing that you DO check out my stuff at least tells me that somebody's reading this stuff. Not gonna write to myself.

I had a very good day yesterday, but that 7th topped everything else by FAR. I got 5 contenders for the first race so far, got to check them out and then post with at least 2-3 mins. to post. This track is really tough to cap, sooo competitive, but this first race looks like the races that I did good with yesterday. We'll see.

GUEES WHAT?... I musta been typing all this stuff for over 15 mins. I went back the track video and see that the 1st wace is a DONE DEAL ... SUN a ma BEACH! :banghead:

And YES, the no. 3 and 5 (scratched) were my top plays. SAMBeach again. The only good news is the the no. 2 was not in my picks and IF I went the zacta route instead of the Win/Pl/Show route.. I mighta lost??

Ugh!

Ok, no prob. with the 2nd race.. 6 horse field, maidens, some first timers, ... no spinning the money wheel for me.. NO PLAY.
Unless I see something EXTRA good looking which is doubtful.

3rd.. 5 horses after the scratches? Where's them 10 plus fields? It ain't raining.

Thinking about the no. 2, looks Ok, capping figures are good, connections are terrible.

That's the best I can do with this small field.

Wound up putting a small WIN, only play on no. 2. Mostly based on how he handled an off track in the past and looked like a good trip right behind the no. 1 was likely.

If ya turned the finish picture around sideways, this one's ass woulda been in front at the finish by about 20 lengths. This one's last race sez that this horse is out of form.. it wasn't lying. Automatic throwaway the next time you see him in the entries.

BTW, none of these looked good in the prerace.

Dang

1/5 deserving fav. in this 4th race. I'm about ready to go and watch the grass grow instead of watching this crap.

No. 6 looks good, .... enough to beat the fav?
I dunno?

Maybe the sun will come out tomorrow?

Maybe the sun will come out tomorrow?

Looks like the next playable race is the 9th.

Sorry, but just gotta do it...

did I ever tellyas about the time I had a daytime date on Belmont Stakes Day :popcorn2 (yeah, somehow I got my schedule screwed up for that day). I told my date that we gotta take a quick ride into N.Y.C before we decide what we're gonna do today. You know, just a quickie run into an OTB parlor to git me some Belmont action while she drove around the block a few times so I wouldn't get a parking ticket OR the dreaded BOOT (been there) on my tires.

I was at the track on a Sat. before the Belmont and saw a horse that impressed me like no other.. on a terrible sloppy track that is.. This horse beat the best in N.Y. and just flew through the slop like no other I ever saw. When I saw him entered for the Belmont and the rain on Belmont day... I just knew where my first stop on the date was gonna be.

We wound up bouncing around the streets of N.Y. on Belmont day and finished up at a fancy N.Y. restaurant, but as soon as I got home, it was VCR time. Sure enough Conquistador Cieilo smoked em in the muddy Belmont to top off a nice day alright. :00hour

There's a Canty trained horse (can't think of his name right now) that is regarded as one of the best sires, based on his triple crown record, for mudders. NOT IN MY BOOK though, Conquistador Cielo is my pick and many of his babies took after him when the clouds are out and the track is wet.

What is this STUFF all about??

Well, my capping comes up with 2 horses in the 9th.. . no. 1 and no. 4. Both are 6-1 before the scratches so that leaves room for a little zacta and W/Pl/Sh@2x action on them and maybe some side action on another one.. a baby Cielo on a sloppy track (a horseplayer's DREAM. Well, this horseplayer's dream).

I may not be around, but take a look at no. 3, Saginaw with an 8-1 M.L., a baby Cielo that should be able to outswim them ALL, even with Nakitani on his back (Ugh :( )

No matter what his odds are.... Saggy ain't gonna hit that finish line without me one way or the other.

G.L the rest of the way, MJers.

I may have written here about my stopover at Monticello on the way to my father-in-law's funeral. My wife was already up there (Delihi) and me an a buddy decided to stop at Monti on the way up. Absolutely beautiful day when we pulled into Monti's parking lot and I told my friend,"Looks like they're closed.". There was 3 cars in the lot and this was around 2 p.m. We went in , nobody around, but I saw horses on the track?? UNREAL, there wasn't 30 players there IF THAT. Two stinkin windows open. Soooo depressing what happened to that place and the Catskills.

My brother in law who lives in Delhi tells me that they got a casino there now which is saving the place.

Good luck with your play, Deliman

Ya gotta figure out something to do with the no. 1 and the no. 3 in this race with those outrageous odds.
