Keith Olberman on Countdown sited a 350 plus year old quote from Oliver Cromwell. Olberman directed it to Bush (and I'm sure his entire administration): ?You have sat too long for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!?

......that pretty well works for me......

Weasal here is what i know and i don't give two shits about your fox spin because this is what happen. This guy Wilson was one of the first guys to out this sham of a war and these rotten fuks tried to slime him and his wife because he was the first guy that was right about this sham that some are to stupid to realize. They tried to shut him up and Cheney led the pack. This guy was telling the truth and these rotten pricks abused there power just like liars do when they could. I find it amazing that you have no problem with outing a CIA agent(which jeopardizes national security) yet you bring up every terror plot know to mankind. this is our CIA and who gives two shits about left or right. They sent this douchebag Libby to take the fall and hid behind his drawers knowing at the end they would pardon him. If you enjoy a select few abusing powers for greed and corruption then applaud them. Eddie said it best but not fully. History is indeed laughing at us but so is the rest of the world. Everyone bowed down to us and now they just laugh at us. If that is okay with you than soak it up. what this country needs is to get rid of every lawyer, union and anything that represents the people. Then when they get rid of guys like us you nitwits can get run right over wondering what the hell is happening. And please don't come running for help cause we don't want to here it.

They all seem to get there **** sucked. Some have woman do it and others like Lippy have guys like Cheney do it. Or do it for them.
You would think this ling little runt could do at least 5 months like Martha did. Lets not forget he was convicted by a jury for same thing she did.
If i was a member of that jury I would be so pissed

Can't believe the hoopla for political pardons which been going on since Washington and the Wiskey Rebellion.

as I said in other thread--
When some from this admin starts-
-- selling pardons for cash
--pardoning terrorist
-10 most wanted
--drug dealing family members ect

--please page me ;)

May I remind you the crime was obstruction of justice and perjury. Clinton lied about a bj as any married man would do. This puke Libby lied about something much more serious.

By the wat the "Liberal" news media made sure I heard about Clinton's BJ every night, non stop for months.

What makes this more important and more troublesome to me (although the entire one man pardoning process is a problem for me, as I mentioned, regardless of who it is) is WHAT the person was lying about/covering up, who they were protecting by forgetting details after details (higher ups, perhaps?) The buck stopped with this person, who undoubtedly protected those above him, and we will never know what the real story is. We simply don't know that this was no big deal. The only real story is that he was convicted, sentenced, and the person he was taking the fall for and protecting is paying him back in the most important way he can. And probably will pardon him before it's all done. The most ironic thing about all of this (who really thought this wouldn't happen eventually?) is that this was a judge put in place by George Bush. I guess the dude was the first rewarded by Bush with a position the WASN'T doing a great job, eh Brownie?

Just a trivia question for you Dogs, nothing more.

You've often spoken of Marc Rich and his 'pardon' and how reprehensible is was, so........who was Marc Rich's lawyer, the guy that (probably) sort of set the whole thing up?

wait for it.......

Scooter Libby of course

Acually the bj and cigar stuffing of intern was 2ndary--the trail was about Flowers are one of others--which Slick paid off later to avoid civil suit where the Dems couldn't protect him--

but--

Thought we were talking bout hilliary--along with 50 I don't recall on the one occassion what about the deal on the white house staft--where the idependent council pussed out on perjury charges on hilliary and instead--said her testimony was "'factually false'

Thats two cases now--want some more??

Aupice
The answer to your trivia question the payoff on Rich was family affair--His council on appeal was no other than Hilliary's brothers--but when it was discovered that practically every one in Clinton family was being paid off on pardon (no quid pro quo Bill said) Hilliary made her brother pay back the $400,000 he had received--any more questions;)

Libby was Rich's lawyer on several other occasions. He was up to his eyeballs in anything connected to Rich. (Note I said 'probably' in my question) He probably had a hand in the settlement and pleading of Rich's pardon. Point is: these guys are all about greed and power. Politics is just a means of accomplishing these ends. Libby knew all the 'players' in the Rich pardon and was connected. That's why he was his lawyer, because he knew people, not because he had some great knowledge of the law that nobody else did. It's how things are done in Washington.
