I'm not going to live there.. I'm just tired of giving the hotel industry so much money. I figure the property shouldn't lose any value and the taxes and insurance will be less than I spend at hotels 3 or 4 times a year. Plus I can rent it to some of my friends at Madjacks :SIB

I plan on buying cars and shipping them back for my lot also.

Property taxes and Insurance in FLA are killers. Almost equal to P+I mortgage payment here. :scared

But most importantly, the taxes must be going for a good cause and benefiting nice people. :SIB

Property value is really down. I live in South Tampa but spend all my free time on the water at Treasure Island, as well as Pass A Grille.

Great place but not sure about the double wide area you are referring to.

I worked in Bradenton and it has nice beaches as well and really the best surf break of Santa Anna.

I would google maps the location. Bradenton and Treasure Island are very far apart. I-275 is atrocious and it is more like 2 hours away from Orlando... You have to cross the causeway once off I4 and then continue to the beach just to get to TI... As for Bradenton from Orlando, I-4 to 75S towards Naples... quicker but a lot more miles...

Additionally, good luck getting hurrican insurance... they dropped 50K + issuers? in the last year with more to follow. Pinellas property tax is very high as well.

Sounds like a plan! TPC at Tampa looks really good right now, and don't even get me started on the dog tracks... 8 minutes from the house and have texas holdem... Of course Tampa HArd Rock is going full casino in January and that's just 8 miles down I-4... Lots of trouble to get in down here... Mons Venus <cough>
