YOU have to pick the best in your opinion ... but look at them all in person ... and in this case size does matter :mj07:

good luck bro and enjoy your purchase :0074

I'm just really torn on what in the world to buy! LOL

The practical guy says spend the minimum and you will still be happy with the purchase.

The soon to be married guy says buy the Samsung because that's the one Teresa wants, LOL.

The football fan and just alpha-male in me says to go large and buy the 60".

I don't think I can go wrong with any of the TVs but I'm not really interested in a 3D TV. I watched a part of Avatar and some boxing on ESPN-3D at the store yesterday and just didn't really care for it.

Seems like a lot of you like the Samsung product so I might see if I can get a deal on a bigger Samsung Smart TV.

One question I do have is 720 vs 1080. It's my understanding that almost all satellite and cable TV is broadcast in 720 and to get the full benefit of 1080 you need a Blueray player (which I don't have nor want).

Costco has Samsung, 55? 1080p 120Hz, LED Edge Lit LCD HDTV for $1399. I don't know if the 120HZ is a concern for watching sports?

Well just got back from HH Gregg. After two more hours of hemming and hawing the winner is....

None of the above!

I was talked into buying a 60" Panasonic VIERA 1080p 3D Plasma Smart TV. :00hour

http://www.hhgregg.com/panasonic-60-class-3d-1080p-viera-plasma-hdtv-60-1-diagonal-size-/item/TCP60ST30

Store Manager walked over to me and salesman and started talking to me about the Panasonic line and how he has a similar TV at home, blah, blah, blah. Sticker price on this TV is $2,099 and it's on sale for $1,699. Told me he only had the floor model left and could sell it for 1,299. Told him that was a great deal but still out of my price range. Offered to throw in a wireless adaptor for internet and I said if he really wanted to deal that I could buy it for $1,100 plus the adaptor. He went down to $1,135 and I said, SOLD.

The best part is as I'm waiting for them to bring me my floor model, the sales manager walks out to me and says, "Merry Christmas. My sales people wrote down the wrong part numbers and I still had one new VIERA in stock." So I got a BRAND NEW TV instead of the floor model. $2,099 sticker priced TV for $1,135? Don't mind if I do! :0008

That the way it should work from what Betone said Costco doesn't let him do that for some reason.

First of all, we would not make such an ignorant mistake......I can not make arbitrary markdown's for friends or family or myself, that is the chit that would get me fired.
I can markdown last items, and that is all. We do have some TV's @ 500.00 off and now is the time to take advantage of markdowns and discounts :0008
