Can anyone recommend a good quality cable modem that's Comcast compatible?

God I hate this company, the only thing worse than their escalating prices and billing errors, is the idiots in their customer service. Anyway I have a decent Linksys e 2500 router, and just need a decent cable modem that is compatible. Went to Best Buy and bought something for 60 bucks, Notice a definite lack of speed.
This is the number one seller on Amazon, is this going to do the trick? Download speed to 172 so I think I should be fine. Much cheaper than the Linksys modem, so not so sure.

I've used Motorola 6121 and 6141 in some of my accounts.
The 6141 has more downstream channels and you can usually find for around 80 bucks.

Can confirm, use one of those Motorola's with my Comcast service. Has paid for itself a few times over by saving on the $8 a month rental fee.

I tried to run the speed test and let you know Jaek but i got a network communication error and everything shit the bed when I ran it, so I'm guessing mine is to fast to compute............ or. ........ I'm honest with myself and admit I have charter cable and it's currently having issues

no matter who you go with your fees are outlandish and service in some cities is so bad you can scream bloody murder...

I went to Verizon to get lower rates ......well after contacting them umpteen times with the rep who signed me up under contract with walmart special ..........and get this 1st call to Verizon rep said we have nothing to do with walmart and i scream back at her I have signed Contract documented with YOUR company's logo at top.

any way rate is down to 186.90 and two months now i'm being charged more than that ............. saving evry bill and will go after verizion for multi million dollar theft


IT's not a lot about 18 cents more than i should be paying BUT i said wait a minute if they do this to how many millions of customers they have in usa WHOAAA baby thats $180,000 per million stolen every month so say they have 5 million in USA $900,000 per month theft over billing YUP Verizon here i come bitches FTC FCC and FDCPA reporting YOU to all 3 agencies ooooooooooo yeah the BBB also which ain't giving me money back but a negative strike like that will wake up evryone who decides to sign on.

1 thing i never will use and satelitte dish company for my TV worst ever down times can occur and it takes them days to get to you.

WTF soon i win lottery as i plan under the radar playing once per week win the smaller prizes $100 to $1000's and can win average of $2500 per month forever cash tickets using relatives

YAEAH BABY FU uncle sam payback time NOW i'm getting full retirement 1st pay is in july so thats up to $1250 a month scrap work increased greatly buy insulated romex wire from one contractor i get 200 lbs per week from them pay them 10 cents more than what dealer pays

down to 140 so i get it for 150 and all guages used in homes and office buildings etc...

100 lbs cleaned is 85 lbs top $ i get current for the solid core is $245 a lb = $209 my end net profit $59 per 100 lbs then again it depends on wire thick ness 100 lbs cleaned of 12 guage AWR 3 wires is 95 lbs so my return profit is more $233 - $150 = $83 net per 100

the main cash just rebuys me 200 lbs so my profit just pays bills and buys more food figure extra cash per month $2500 YUP now i can play lottery more ticket $100 per week once per week only the pick 6 no other games played no scratch off tickets nothing

Who knows the way my system is working i might bang the whole JP 2 times or more this year

This is downtown San Francisco. But ironically I think I can get 50mb/s down if I upgrade my modem. But that would require me getting a later version of these Motorola's or go back to renting from Comcast.
Probably will pick up another modem myself, I like the control it gives me (plus eventual savings).
