On April 3, 2014, Hillary Clinton spoke at the Women of the World Summit in New York City and was asked what she was most proud of during her tenure as Secretary of State. Clinton could not provide any concrete examples of the accomplishments she holds in high regard.

?When you look at your time as Secretary of State, what are you most proud of? And what do you feel was unfinished, and maybe have another crack at one day?? the moderator asks.

?Well, I really see ? that was good ? that?s why he wins prizes. Look, I really see my role as Secretary, in fact leadership in general in a democracy, as a relay race. When you run the best race you can run, you hand off the baton. Some of what hasn?t been finished may go on to be finished, so when President Obama asked me to be Secretary of State I agreed,? Clinton responded.

She continued, ?We had the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, we had two wars. We had continuing threats from all kinds of corners around the world that we had to deal with. So it was a perilous time frankly. What he said to me was, ?Look, I have to be dealing with the economic crisis, I want you to go out and represent us around the world.? And it was a good division of labor because we needed to make it clear to the rest of the world, that we were going to get our house in order. We were going to stimulate, and grow, and get back to positive growth and work with our friends and partners.?

Clinton went on to say that she?s proud of the solid leadership from the administration and that they have restored American leadership in the best sense.

?So I think we did that. I?m very proud of the stabilization and the really solid leadership that the administration provided that I think now, leads us to be able to deal with problems like Ukraine because we?re not so worried about a massive collapse in Europe and China ? trying to figure out to do with all their bond holdings and all the problems we were obsessed with. I think we really restored American leadership in the best sense. That, once again ? people began to rely on us as setting the values, setting the standards. I just don?t want to lose that because we have a dysfunctional political situation in Washington. Then of course, a lot of particulars, but I am finishing my book so you?ll be able to read all about it.?

Birther row began with Hillary Clinton
The lie that Barack Obama was not born in the US has been fuelled by fringe Republicans ? but supporters of Hillary Clinton, now Mr Obama?s Secretary of State, are largely to blame for starting it.

The LIE?

Hillary Clinton adviser Minyon Moore sought funds for illegal campaign, court papers allege

Brennan Linsley/AP - Then-Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton shakes hands with a supporter during a rally after her victory in the Puerto Rican Democratic primary, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on June 1, 2008. Court papers show that a longtime Clinton adviser personally sought and secured the funding for an illegal shadow operation to boost her 2008 presidential bid

A longtime adviser to Hillary Rodham Clinton personally sought and secured the funding for what prosecutors say was an illegal shadow operation to boost Clinton?s 2008 presidential bid, according to court papers released as part of a wide-ranging campaign finance investigation.

Washington businessman Jeffrey E. Thompson, who pleaded guilty Monday to federal conspiracy charges in a case that has focused largely on D.C. Mayor Vincent C. Gray?s (D) 2010 campaign, told federal prosecutors that Clinton aide Minyon Moore asked him to fund pro-Clinton efforts in four states and Puerto Rico costing $608,750 during the hard-fought 2008 Democratic presidential primary campaign, the documents show.

?The GOP?s government shutdown cost the economy $ 24 billion and harmed middle class Americans. But to Ted Cruz, that?s not a mistake - it?s a model to follow moving forward. Just like with Benghazi, Republicans are singularly focused on pleasing their base at the expense of everyone else.
?While Democrats are committed to improving the economy and creating jobs that give everyone a fair shot, Republicans like Cruz are focused on playing political games that hurt the economic well being of working Americans.?

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) ? The Texas Republican Party now endorses so-called "reparative therapy" for gays, under a new platform given final approval at its annual convention Saturday.

The new anti-gay language never came up for debate before roughly 7,000 delegates ratified a Texas GOP platform that tea party groups succeeded in pushing further to the right, including winning a harder line on immigration.

One influential tea party group called Texas Eagle Forum had urged the party to support psychological treatments that seek to turn gay people straight. It comes after Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie last fall signed a law banning such therapies on minors, and California has a similar law.

The Fort Worth Convention Hall cheered when party leaders announced that Christie finished a distant 11th in a 2016 presidential straw poll.

If all the gay voters and only the gay voters vote for Hillary, she wins?

Hmmmm - estimates from 2012 show that the gay vote was 5% of the populace.

Hillary beats Un-named Republican, 5%-4.3% in worst general election turnout in history?

Not only do they get the gay vote they will get people like me who support gay right's vote and I want nothing to do with Hilary but the republican line of thinking is obtuse to me. If they are this fucking stupid, why in any way, shape, or form can I support them. You would think they would just keep their mouth shut. They bitch about people's rights being taken away and the Bill of Rights blah blah blah but they don't give a fuck about other people's rights. Just fucking absurd

The U.S. had no business invading Iraq. We toppled a dictatorship on a false 9/11 rationale, which plunged Iraq into a sectarian civil war inside a war with the United States. We left behind a vengeance-driven Shi'ite regime aligned with Iran. Now the sectarian war in Syria is enlarging into a regional one. The primary blame for this disaster is on the Bush administration, but also on all those who succumbed to a Superpower Syndrome, which said we could redesign the Middle East. There is no reason whatsoever to justify further loss of American lives or tax dollars on a conflict that we do not understand and that started before the United States was born.

let them eat cake

they havnt used their oil money to build a army that can handle this ?

fuck them

someone is getting very rich and not paying attention to the long haul

Texas Republican Party Chairman Steve Munisteri lamented the adoption of language supporting gay conversion "therapy" to the party's platform on Thursday, explaining that his colleagues had outflanked him by using a "parliamentary maneuver."

The state's Republican delegates voted earlier this month to "recognize the legitimacy and efficacy of counseling [that] offers reparative therapy and treatment for those patients seeking healing and wholeness from their homosexual lifestyle."

Munisteri said he doesn't believe in the practice, which has already been banned in California and New Jersey.

He further claimed there was substantial opposition to the plank among his party.

"My emails and phone calls to the office are running overwhelmingly opposed to that plank in the platform," he said.

Munisteri claimed he was unable to strip the language because doing so would have meant sacrificing the entire party platform.:0074:mj07:

"Because the way the platform works, once somebody calls the question on the platform it's a parliamentary maneuver," he said. "The delegates are really forced to pass the platform as is, because if you don't there is no platform."
....................................................................................................................

I know hedge is probably all for this plank in Texas

So do you think that you can take a straight person, lets just say hedge , and get him into
a psychologist and turn him gay ?

how fucked up is texas politics ?

its just another example of how they are totally illogical and scary people.

neo cons, got to love them
