Who'da thunk Marrone wouldn't have a job yet? WOW. You get out of your contract and now you have no job! Not the best move there Marrone!!

Falcons and Broncos only 2 teams with HC jobs to fill with Shanny Sr, Marrone the two hot commodities but no offers, and Kubiak is sitting on the fence of course cuz he didn't get a sniff when Fox was hired instead of him. :0002

It's going to be a fun off-season in the NFL!!

As I said Jack when Elway calls you listen. They were close friends/teammates/roomates for 20 years. Next they go after Flacco

I don't know if P:M thinks about the team anymore or himself?

I can understand the frustration ..cuz it burns me up too..

But I don't think there has ever been a better team player born than Peyton Manning

he has no rival in preparation and work ethic..

Broncos did not have anywhere else to turn with 4 weeks left in the regular season..

Peyton hurt was better than what they could have possible come up with..

and lets not forget...that expensive D sucked when it needed to come up huge.

nothing helps in 2015 if Peyton is finished...nothing

Elway had no backup plan...it was SB win or bust..

odds are...it's bust

I guess the Jags are in the NFL. Being reported Jags hire Marrone as Offensive Line Coach/Assistant Head Coach.

The Chicago Bears continued to rapidly assemble John Fox's coaching staff on Tuesday, agreeing in principle to a deal that would make Vic Fangio the team's defensive coordinator, a source confirmed.

Bears general manager Ryan Pace on Monday said the club hadn't yet offered Fangio a contract, but by Tuesday morning the club was working with the coach's representatives to put the finishing touches on a deal.

Fangio interviewed with the Bears on Saturday, but he met Sunday with the Washington Redskins for a second interview. The Redskins ended up settling on Joe Barry as their defensive coordinator Tuesday, a source confirmed to ESPN's John Keim.

Fangio's hiring had been earlier reported by CBS Sports.

Fangio had been released from his contract with the San Francisco 49ers after the team promoted Jim Tomsula to head coach. Fangio had hoped to land the 49ers' head coaching job, and reportedly made his intentions known he did not want to stay in any other capacity.

During Fangio's last four years as defensive coordinator of the 49ers, the club ranked in the top 10 in points and yards. In Fangio's first three seasons in San Francisco (2011-13), the 49ers were the only team in the NFL to finish in the top five in points allowed (16.1 points per game), run defense (89.1-yard average), rushing average (3.7), first downs allowed (835), opponent quarterback rating (76), yards allowed (306.5 yards per game), plays for gains of 20-plus yards (147), takeaways (93) and third-down defense (34.1 percent conversion rate).

San Francisco's defense in 2014 was hit hard by injuries, but Fangio led the unit to a No. 5 overall ranking as the defense ranked No. 10 in the league in points allowed (21.2 points per game).

Fangio, 56, joins the Bears with 28 years of NFL coaching experience, including 15 as a coordinator. He takes over for Mel Tucker, who presided over a Bears defense that ranked 30th overall in each of the past two seasons and 31st in 2014 and 30th in 2013 in points allowed.

The hiring caught the attention of offensive lineman Kyle Long, who tweeted out his approval.

The Ravens have hired former Chicago Bears Head Coach Marc Trestman as the team?s offensive coordinator.

Now that he doesn't have to deal with menopausal, Jay Cutler anymore, watch Flacco take off in 2015!! Add about 3-4 pts per game to the offense in 2015 than in 2014!!

Very good hire!!

Adam Gase and John Fox will team up again in Chicago.

The Bears have reached a three-year deal with Gase to become their offensive coordinator, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported Wednesday night.

The 36-year-old Gase had been the Broncos? offensive coordinator the last two seasons under Fox, who took the Bears? head coaching job last week.

As the Broncos? offense soared with Peyton Manning at the controls, Gase?s stock rose, and the assistant coach had interviewed for multiple head coaching roles this offseason, including for Denver?s job, which eventually went to Gary Kubiak.

Gase will be charged with jump-starting a Chicago offense that too often sputtered a season ago. His work with whomever starts at quarterback for the Bears will be key. The Bears have a decision to make on incumbent Jay Cutler.

Before becoming the Broncos? offensive coordinator, Gase coached quarterbacks (2011-2012) and wide receivers (2009-2010) for Denver. Before that, he was an offensive assistant with San Francisco (2008) and held coaching and scouting roles with Detroit (2003-2007). He was the Lions? quarterbacks coach in his final season with the club.

Gase?s first season as the Broncos? receivers coach coincided with now-Bears wideout Brandon Marshall?s last season in Denver. Marshall was suspended for the final two games of the ?09 preseason for detrimental conduct, and he was deactivated for the final game of the regular season. The Broncos ? then coached by Josh McDaniels ? traded Marshall to Miami the following offseason.
