Spin your wheels much ???? :s4:

You really crack yourself up, don't you.

I'll bite. How does every vote I cast make the ACLU and PETA stronger?

Before you start your dumbass argument, keep in mind that I don't vote strictly for one party or another(not that it makes any difference in this case to begin with). Ok, go ahead.

We can teach them, that 2% of people are wierd and strange and therefore elect homosexuality

Yes, most people choose homosexuality because they are weird and strange.
Can someone please close the barn door....

Is not wierd and strange to deviate from the norm. What are you. the resident fag protector? If so, please be aware that it is not a disparaging comment (although most you neo-socs want it to be).
It's simply a statement that it is something that only a few percentage of the population believe in (therefore strange, not the median, norm or majority, etc.) and yet it is taught in many of our schools. But a theory which encompasses not only evolution but also the belief of the vast majority on this planet is not to be taught? Well, seems to me somebody is leaving something out. kinda giving the kids a handicap, huh?
I believe in evolution, period, but that does not preclude Intelligent Design. Of course, you want to sound smarter and more coy and hip so you dismiss it.
Shut the barn door on you and leave the farm animals alone, one day you'll grow up.

everyone should go buy cd's from bad religion, greg graffin the lead singer who writes half the songs is amazing, the other guy who writes the songs you are familiar with, i.e. infected, digital boy, sorrow, all suck...graffin is amazing, got his phd in evolutionary biology, go to thebrpage.net, and click on the album title and then any song for lryics...if it says written by greg graffin its worth a download..he's 40 plus and still jammin...this has nothing to do with this thread, but i just wanted to pass along some good music to those who believe in evolution and wanted a view of religion, or lack thereof, through song

I just wish that I was born later in time...a time later when humans evolve enough to stop believing in fairy tales.

Great thread!

Clarence Darrow aside, nearly every debator advocating evolution loses to the debator advocating creationism. Its not because the evolutionist is wrong, nor the creationist right, but rather because:

1) the hard science that is necessary to explain evolution is too darn boring to hold the audiences' interest, and

2) the evolutionist ends up arguing that, "we haven't found the fossil evidence, yet."

Maybe one day we will. But it will never end the debate in some people's minds. My own opinion? I believe that the absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Why do all these religions keep begging for more money. Does anyone think there really was a garden of evil.

Godwin's Law is gonna hit this thread any time now...

For those geniuses doubting the facts behind evolution, a good place to start is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution

Other than that, there's probably darn near a thousand publications and hundreds of examples detailing the proof that various species have evolved from other forms of life. There is no positive proof whatsoever of Creationism (i.e., Intelligent Design), nor does there need to be in my opinion. And by the way, not having a 100% proven scientific explanation of something does not "prove" creationism in any way or make it part of science.

As for attacking Christians and Christmas, you people need to get a life. First of all many of the people making loads of cash from this ficticious assault have simply made things up to prove their point. I don't have any desire to research the examples given in this thread, but something tells me whoever posted them got them directly from some conservative news outlet. I highly doubt the poster was affected by these things first hand.

The more overall disturbing trend is that I feel like more and more bitter old people want to live in a theocracy. In general I think allowing the majority to express their religion in a reserved, respectful way in public space is a positive thing. But jeez, when you see the way these zealots react to any tiny little perceived affront to their desired way of life, it's hard to see them as anything but bigoted old blowhards.

hmmm no comments on "Aurora" I see you really want to ignore that little tid bit aye ? Dont like the fact they were teaching evoloution incorrectly for some 50 years do ya ? Hmm I wonder how it will change in 50 more years maybe we will find out we evolved from aliens or something :mj07:
Dont get me wrong personally I believe in evoloution over religion but I cant help but see they dont even have evolution right yet and probably wont in my lifetime ....but hey I like logic and logically it makes a lot more sense than a creator .

Than I do hear the words of the wise and it keeps me thinking : "Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most."

Simple you vote Democrat at least mostly and even 1 vote that puts a Democrat in office helps the wacko lefties . Democrats in this day and age are wacko left wing morons just like the ones in the ACLU and PETA when you vote in another left wing moron it makes them all more powerful .... Politically , Judicially ,and Economically did you really not understand that ? :s4:

The theory of evolution or the scientific explanation for evolution isn't exactly something that you can write in a paragraph. Something that has taken billions of years to accomplish will also probably be a little difficult for many of us despite our level of education. On the other hand, a belief in intelligent design can be summed up in one word - faith.

actually it takes a lot more faith to believe that alligators turn into birds and cows turn into whales than any theory intelligent design could throw your way
