I realize he has fans and some of you are fans but I never liked the guy at all. Talk about teleprompter or cue cards? Jay was worse than Bob Hope and that's saying something. :mj07:

Anyway, Jay Leno's Garage?

So...you must love his replacement...."Howdy Doody?' talk about absolute ZERO talent.....

Saw Jay Leno do a 2 hour straight monologue last year...off the cuff, no cue cards or teleprompter....he appears to be a down to earth guy, not a pompous media created instant personality.

Thanks for heads up on Jays Garage...might be worth a look, he's got quite the car collection.

Bob Hope actually owned the Indians when they won the 1948 WS. His road pictures with Bing Crosby were classic.
He did USO tours ever since the Revolutionary war..

A real chump comedic actor IMHO is Adam Sandler...good grief he is still making a living off one or two "funny" movies he made 20 years ago....yet people blindly throw money at him; couple him with Kevin James and its a barf bag festival.

So Jack, WHO did you like in the days of B+W?

Nobody can replace Johnny but Letterman could get close and should have gotten the job. Leno never made me even smile, I don't think. I went to one of his Vegas shows and slept the entire show. Just opinions, man.

I have no clue who Leno's replacement is because I'm usually in bed by now. I don't watch any late night TV. No TV at all really, maybe about 5-10 minutes in bed before I fall asleep.

I think the best comedian of all time was Richard Pryor. You have Eddie Murphy, George Carlin, Robin Williams, Bill Cosby, Steve Martin close behind in my standings. My favorite that's working right now is Lewis Black.

I loved Bob Hope but he was corny as fuk. You could even see him reading the cue cards in his movies. And, there's no way Jay Leno can talk for 10 minutes without cue cards, you'll never convince me.

I probably forgot a lot but that was off the top.

Saw Leno a few times in Vegas & thought that he was funny....

Never thought Letterman was remotely funny....

Of your list, loved Pryor, Carlin (not at the end), Williams, & Martin....

My favorite stand-up of all time was Rodney Dangerfield....I had seen him a few times in Vegas & thought he was hysterical....He was at his best though in his nightclub in NYC....Sometimes he mingled with the audience which was cool...Very down to earth street guy....

And nobody can replace Johnny....Not even close!!

Letterman was never funny, IMO. Just an arrogant, crotchety old fart that should have retired long before he did. Jimmy Fallon is a talented guy, I think, the best out their right now. Nobody approaches Johnny!:0corn

George Carlin from 1995 on would just walk on stage and bitch about everything.

When HBO first came out there were some great Stand Up Specials. Eddie Murphy, Carlin, I think even Seinfeld had great shows. Rodney was always one of my favorites.

Today....very, very rarely do I laugh with the side splitting humor I did with those guys.

I like Lewis Black but have not seen any of his new stuff. I like Sara Silverman too.

If you are 12-15 years old, I guess he is. At some point, for most people, fart jokes get old. Fallon is the definition of sophomoric humor borderlining on downright juvenile.

I like fart jokes.

Jimmy Fallon is brilliant. He is like a kid who has his friends over. He is truly interested in the people he has on, and not just a host who reads a few bullet points about a guest, and pretends he's "hip". More important.....His guests have FUN with him, and aren't just making the rounds to promote themselves.

A LADY WALKS INTO TIFFANYS. SHE LOOKS AROUND, SPOTS A BEAUTIFUL DIAMOND BRACELET AND WALKS OVER TO INSPECT IT.

AS SHE BENDS OVER TO LOOK MORE CLOSELY, SHE UNEXPECTEDLY FARTS.

VERY EMBARRASSED, SHE LOOKS AROUND NERVOUSLY TO SEE IF ANYONE NOTICED HER LITTLE WOOPS AND PRAYS THAT A SALESPERSON WAS NOT ANYWHERE NEAR. AS SHE TURNS AROUND, HER WORST NIGHTMARE MATERIALIZES IN THE FORM OF A SALESMAN STANDING RIGHT BEHIND HER.

GOOD LOOKING AS WELL AS COOL AS A CUCUMBER, HE DISPLAYS ALL OF THE QUALITIES ONE WOULD EXPECT OF A PROFESSIONAL IN A STORE LIKE TIFFANYS.

HE POLITELY GREETS THE LADY WITH, GOOD DAY, MADAM, HOW MAY WE HELP YOU TODAY?

BLUSHING AND UNCOMFORTABLE, BUT STILL HOPING THAT THE SALESMAN SOMEHOW MISSED HER LITTLE INCIDENT, SHE ASKS, SIR, WHAT IS THE PRICE OF THIS LOVELY BRACELET?

HE ANSWERS, "MADAM, IF YOU FARTED JUST LOOKING AT IT - YOURE GOING TO SHIT WHEN I TELL YOU THE PRICE."

I have never seen Ron White but a good friend keeps telling me about him, so will make it my business to see one of his shows....

I have seen Ron White 3 times and each and every time I was sore from laughing so hard. He drinks straight scotch throughout his entire act. Please google his name and watch him on u tube. So funny!

Some of his stuff is on You Tube Also Redd Fox .. saw him at The Sahara and way back when at Hacienda, I like to heckle comedians and some times i break up the audience. I took on Leno on his amateur night sundays in Manhattan Beach i think it was. and he was lost. Redd Fox welcomed the challenge and wiped the floor w my ass. Brilliant. Only comedian i ever heckled that did that. Most comedians have a canned routine and cant think on their feet or improvise at the moment....,

My wife and I were sitting in the front row at Redd Fox and he asked my wife if she was gonna wash her pussy that night and give me a BJ. :mj07:
