(Ahman)Green Bay -4.5

3 is the magic number. It's the number of BIG PLAY threats Green Bay has. It's Farve, Green, and Driver(Franks sometimes). Philly has 1 in McNabb. That's it. No true down field threat. I don't see Philly hanging around much in this one. Believe me, the number looks enticing. I could get 5.5 in many places. This is the first game this year that Philly will be playing on REAL GRASS. They have played all 8 games on either Field Turf (home and Meadowlands) or Astro Turf(Dallas and Atlanta). Philly has looked like the team of old...against the Jets, Bills, and Falcons??? Green Bay is a team that peaks midseason and falls on their faces down the stretch. Midseason is now. I don't see any answers to Green Bay's big play abilities from a thinly rotated, injury plagued Eagles squad that has given up more than they have scored this year. So? How are you 5-3 after giving up more points than you have scored you ask? By playing bad teams. The only good team the Eagles have played was New England and the Pats exploited the piss out of the injury-plagued Eagle Secondary. All of Philly's wins have been against bad teams(Jets, Falcons, Bills, Giants, Redskins) they have not yet beaten one team with a .500 record yet. Lot's of reasons to think you are getting a value with the points. That would only apply to a good team. In my opinion, Philly isn't a good team. I'm betting on Winners tonight in Green Bay and the Ultimate Winner in Brett Farve. Ahman Green has to rank right up there with Holmes as a true game breaker. This game definately won't showcase the excitement of last week's fixer...I mean thriller. I would be suprised to say Green Bay come up short of winning by 2 TD's in this one.

Green Bay 24 Eagles 10

Even the Packer's D-Line will look sharp vs that pitiful Philly O-Line. And to think I almost took Philly when I first saw this number.

Some Trends and Stats for both teams:

Packers
5-0 ATS as Favorites vs opponent of BB SU Wins(Philly)
8-1 ATS L9 MNF Games
15-2-1 ATS Versus Philly in the betting situation of Betting Green Bay vs an opponent of BB SU and ATS wins.
Mike Sherman's Packers are 6-1 ATS on MNF
8-3 ATS home vs opponent off SU win

These things are full of crap but I love hunting for them. It's like finding lint in your pockets.

Seriously...
My calculations have the Packers winning approximately 24-21 but I had to take the Pack in this spot on Monday Night against a team that appears to have found itself to the Public Eye but has really pulled it off with smoke and mirrors (no pun intended w/ the Giants game) with a banged up defense versus some pretty pitiful teams. They will be a step slower in the first game on real grass all year. They are a true turf team. I think it's about that time of year that Green Bay peaks way too soon and what better way to follow up an exorcism of the demons at the Metrodome than to have a Big Win against a preceived good team on MNF.

I'm in no way saying

I'm in no way saying

Philly is the wrong side. Rather I am saying Philly isn't my side tonight. Hope nobody gets offended as I am not trying to jinx anyone's plays. I just like Green Bay this time of the year because they remind me of my favorite horses. The 3 YO Maidens running a Mile and 1 Fur. They stagger out of the gate, make their move around the 1st turn and move ahead of the "Pack", run strong for a stretch, then finish the race in a race of their own.
They are the classical "peak-to-soon" team and that's a tendency that is directly related to the coaching staff. I wish everyone the best of luck whatever you played. And I also mean that sincerely because losses come just as easy as wins so if I'm the loser tonight it won't last long. Good Luck fellas.

I'm all done

I'm all done

Now matter what I do I always jinx myself by posting plays here with all you kids. Not once can I post a play without someone jinxing me, this time it was the PGH kid. Well I hope the pgh kid takes a leap off the Incline Trolley. What a waste of time I spend here with you kids. You know not one thing about one thing. FAWK all of you!!!! Regardless of what happens in this game I will not waste one more second of my life posting squat. All the disrespect and lack of stepping in by the moderators. Very poorly run site. That's ok though...the moderators sit back and get fat off of advertising kickbacks and selling all of your e-mails to ad companies. Fawk OFF

I never ran off the field without touching 2nd base cause if I did I would "K" or do nothing at the plate and they would send my ass packing. Well.........look where all that bullshit got me...oh yeah dont step on the chalk ....its bad luck....it got me here on Madjacks...picking a damn winner.....And the worst thing about it.....I luv it....I read many posts and luv the guys in here and the only pressure is the pressure I put on myself when I put the blame on a jinx when it was my own stupidity

step in where?

someone jinxed you?

we don't get "kickbacks" and we don't sell email addresses.

maybe you should learn some money management, anger management and blame someone else for your losses. someone like YOURSELF!

SHEESE!

Mick, I think you need to step back and put this in proper perspective. This is not as important as you are making it. I think you are out of bounds calling Jack out. You seem to take every loss personal. This is called GAMBLING for a reason. Not trying to be a prick. I think you are a great capper but you can't win them all. Enjoy your wins and take your losses like a man.

Mick-You shouldn't get pissed at the pburg kid for posting information that you quite frankly should have known before playing GB.That ain't jinxin' thats working at handicapping. He was simply sharing information that would help a person go into this game with their eyes open, which is the general idea of this site.Other people read these threads, they might benefit from the facts he posted. To me though, this gets back to the issue you've been bringing up recently about people posting reasons for their plays. If a play, even your play, isn't supported by all the empirical data available, why get pissed at a guy who thoroughly researched and handicapped the game for posting pertinent info without so much as a wise comment?.Its just one loss, dust yourself off and get after it again.GL next time
