I forgot about A.B. "Happy" Chandler -- US Senator, Governor of KY, and of course Commissioner of MLB when Jackie Robinson was signed.

Not much of a story, but Annette (Funicello) 3 doors down from me. She had gone on to become a mouseketeer by age 5, but I still played with her cousins , visited her grandparents & delivered newspapers there.

Shania Twain & Mutt Lange have a cottage across the lake (1/8 mile across) from us. Goldie Hawn and Mike Myers also have property somewhere (?) in the area.

I went to high school & was a starter on the basketball team with Duane Forde (12 years in the CFL, most of them with Calgary). I was the center, he was our power forward. Also went to school with Jim Paek (Pittsburgh Penguins, first Korean-born player to win a Stanley Cup. Which is kind of neat because growing up I remember him REPEATEDLY stating he would do just that, be the first Korean with his name on the cup).

Played pee-wee football in El Toro, CA with Brett Johnson (Rob Johnson was in a lower league at the time). Got to watch the whole stupid rivalry with Todd Marinovich at a rival high school develop.

But who of my classmates ends up with the most success at this point? Not the athletes, but the analysts - Marc Stein (ESPN NBA guru) and Pat Parnell (X-Games).

If you could be famous making maps, I'd of course have them all beat though LOL.
