Not a gun guy or nra member but...

Pretty sure I read that not one of these shooters....ever...in the history of mass shootings....were ever a member of the nra.

Just think they're mentally disillusioned and/or criminals and no law will stop them if this is what they set out to do (and most break multiple laws prior to these shootings as well).

the only thing the nra has to do with all of this is the stranglehold they have on the pussy politicians who keep taking their money and won't pass any bills to stop or slow down any of this.

but you make a great point. if someone is hell bent on revenge or inflicting damage on a person or people they are going to do it.

my question to you is, what could a guy like this use besides a gun that would even come close to rivaling the amount of damage he just inflicted today? 17 people dead, do you think he could pull that off with a knife? do you honestly think he could waltz into a school and kill 17 people uncontested with anything other than a high powered weapon which has zero purpose at all other than to kill?

I personally do not own a gun,,have numerous friends who hunt so they obviously do,,,I have a 14 year old son who goes to school every day and i have been on the fence about gun control,,but now leaning to abolishing guns or bullets one,,My question is how do you get the 'bad Guy" to turn his in or just by attrition over many years they disappear? And do you allow cops to carry because that would be a whole nother story,,,:0corn

its too much of an epidemic to expect people to hand over guns. itll never happen. and with the amount of guns out there illegally. I don't own guns and never have but I think it would be unfair for an honest person to have a gun to protect their home if they choose.

a great start would be banning the horse shit assault rifles and high caliber weapons an average person can own.

you don't need a fucking arsenal of weapons for any reason. look at that kids instagram if they havent taken it down yet. why does a 18/19 years old kid need that kind of weaponry?

but its all a fucking joke, nothing will change. they couldnt change shit after Sandy Hook where 6 and 7 year old kids got massacred.

they couldnt even ban the butt stock shit that the guy in Vegas used.

theyll have a moment of silence, talk about it for a few weeks, and then we will have another incident and repeat the cycle.

a ban on AR15's would be a good fucking start

Cool ban them. What about the millions already here much less the millions upon millions of pistols and other semi-auto rifles any of which can be easily altered? Is the goal to end school/church shootings involving AR15's or to get rid of the types of guns that kill the vast majority of shooting victims?

Would love to hear your solution to "stop it".

You'll never "stop it" but you can make it more difficult to happen and try to slow down the frequency. Your "stop it" comment is insulting. I can sense you don't even wish to address the issue which doesn't surprise me at all.

I don't have a solution. This is our culture. Even small communities can't ban weapons when when all their folks want to because the NRA sues them. Just pray it doesn't happen to you. No whammies. :0074

nothing is going to end them, the idea would be to stop the frequency at which it happens.

you think a person has a reason to own an AR15?

who cares how many are already out there? if stopping any more from going into circulation that would be a start wouldnt it?

Another thing that nobody ever talks about is why we have so many fucked up kids. Both parents have to work in most households because the rich are stealing all the money. If the middle class was thriving again, you could have one parent home to support the kids emotionally. Now both parents work and kids get ignored and shit on basically all because the rich want to squeeze every drop out of the poor and the middle class.

The point is that the NRA has a strangle hold on congress so nothing even gets discussed.

Children continue to be murdered in their schools and they can not even block mentally ill people from buying guns, you can be on the no fly list but still be allowed to purchase a gun, how does that make us more safe? How does stopping bad people from buying guns infringing on the stupid second amendment?

What I personally think is irrelevant. Lets assume they are banned and these incidents do not show any real change. What next?

No idea if this was informational or this is what you are advocating, but what are the chances of this happening in this country? How would the government go about "confiscating" AR's?

So. Cal
Drugs are illegal
There's plenty of laws regarding the use; purchase and sale of them

Doesn't ever seem to prevent ANYONE from ever finding or buying drugs.

Ban a gun that's been in existence?....sounds great, but they will find there way into the hands of people like this nut job today.

As for what else could he use to inflict this much damage? Have you watched the news in the past 5-10 years? Trucks, pipe bombs, knives, etc..all used by other nut jobs called terrorists.

you don't even have the balls to take a stance on whether or not a citizen should be allowed to arm themselves with an AR15 but youre asking everyone else what their solution is to stop these things?

and your argument is lets assume they are banned and nothing changes. of course. of course thats youre argument.

you are incredible.
