i think your wrong about this,ut.
nintendo wi is coming out with alot more systems at launch .nintendo is also way behind sony and xbox in popularity and units sold in the last generation of systems.its also $ 200 and is aimed at kids 13 and younger while xbox and sony is wanted by all age groups and men with $ to spend on a $600 system..the only reason nintendo will be a sucess at lauch is b/c there will be a shortage of ps3...nintendo hasnt caused a buzz in this industry in a long time ,and the wi is no exception.
well, honestly I disagree with you for these reasons-
(1) Nintendo's name. Despite the fact that Sony and Microsoft have grabbed a chunk of Nintendo's former market share, they are still a force to be reckoned with.
(2) The Wii's price point. The $250 console coupled with the aforementioned "security blanket" the Nintendo name offers is a win-win situation. The PS3 is overpriced and will be unavailable; the 360 will dilute possible PS3 sales because it's cheaper and also has name recognition.
(3) Game library and innovations. Display units will showcase the incredible step forward the Wiimote can be...and will snag tons of new sales. Sony simply mimicked Nintendo's creativity and innovation.
