i saw a news crawl on the bottom of cnn`s screen today that floored me.....
it basically said that the higher gas prices go,the safer the roads are...less accidents etc....so higher gas prices are great!...

48.5 Cents a pint here, ($3.88 gal) which is more than I paid for my first GALLON as a teenager:scared
it is ok however as minimum wage back then was $2.10 an hour, wait it is not $ 16.80 an hour minimum wage now not a good deal then is it.
I could buy more with the $2.50 I made back then than I can with my current wage, yep I don't make enuff but I was outta work for 9 months in 2008-2009.
Maybe it is not so high when you factor a gallon to a silver dollar, since silver is $40 an ounce, I guess the value of a Morgan dollar would buy you about 7 gallons, it might have gotten 5 or 6 gallons in the 1940's:nono:

Then the bitching should stop. Gas is no different than anything else. You want it.....they have it.....they can set the price.
Everyone else wants everyone else to make the sacrafice, so THEY don't have to. Nothing new, I guess. So, nothing changes, except the crying gets louder. :mj07:

I put $10.00 in my 2.5 gallon jug for mower :SIB and the mower quit after 2 laps:facepalm:

maybe the high gas prices will stop all those dwi drivers there in fond du lac. Really liked the one where the guy was driving 90mph on main st in the construction zone. That might even top the one where woman was so drunk paramedics refused to let her ride with 5 time husband owi offender who had a heart attack so she drove to hospital and got her 8th dwi.
