Tbone dont try it when your two young and your kids are still liveing with you. Now that im retired. A littel to old and may be loosing a touch for what young kids are thinking. Our foster days ended about 4 months back. It worked well from about 49 to 61 but thats it. Time to kick back and see how much fun a older guy can have. But you are correct some real tough issues some of those kids were faceing. Sports was one of the answers.

djv- a friend of mine is a foster mom and she has gotten some kids that really had MAJOR isssues ....................Its definately on a back burner FOR NOW anyway. But I must say after reading your comment about sports being a solution ..............I definatley after the week and a half so far with football and just 2 boys on the field and 1 cheerleader do not think I could fit anything else in :D I don't know how I do it sometimes..............

Enjoy your retirement to the fullest from the little I know about you, you have definately put your time in :D

its a difficult matter to resolve.. there is no perfect situation... its hard enough for well adjusted adults to raise children as it is...

i agree Tbonez... kids have a hard time as it is.. just going thru puberty... let alone adapting to all the mixed cultural energies and peer pressures that exist...

it takes a lot of love and understanding...and nurturing and the rest is out of our control...

i bow down :hail to all the loving parents who gives themselves to their children... and to their families.. its beautiful and selfless
