Great job JR....I had a guy work with me a few years ago that bowled 3 and told me he got a ring for it with everything engraved on it from PBA?? do they give the rings or you buy them? You sound like 1 hell of an athlete....where did you play hoops at? Again great job....never knew about the changes in the lanes with how they set up the oil until working with that guy...Alot harder than it looks!!
Ever get a Hole in one?? I'm a 13 handicap and haven't been closer than 3 feet.
I paid for the upgraded ring last time, which was about $500 7 years ago, funny thing was that year I did 2/20/03 and 3/20/03, a month apart and I had them put a diamond #2 in signifying I did it twice. I would never wear the thing but it sits on my trophy case. The options this year are a plaque or another ring, it is basically free (silver) unless you want to upgrade to 10k or 14k gold which is 500 or 800, which I wont do, not worth that imo, I would rather put that on a football game this weekend. I will take the silver ring though.
Regarding hoops, I played at NAIA level at Point Park College, which is now Point Park University located here in Pittsburgh. Started all four years, but battled ankle problems the whole way through, missed 6 games freshman year 8 games junior year and 12 games senior year with the same ankle. Should have got surgery, but just keep going for therapy, shit I probably had 6-8 pairs of crutches. I dont play anymore at 38 years old, afraid to get hurt, although I had a guy challenge this past summer to a game of one on one and I beat him 10-1, so I know I can score on anyone still fast enough that dont feel too many rec players would ever stop me but I wouldn't play the dog defense that I use to anymore, not in that kind of shape LOL.
With golf, I finished last year at an 11 handicap, don't play as much anymore and was a single digit coming out college. Weekend warrior. Funny story, never had a hole one, however one day we were playing in some cold temps on a par 3 that was 220 yards very windy, I only carry a driver no other woods but a driving iron, with that said I choked down on my driver and hooked the first one into the parking lot, said to my dad throw me another fucking ball, he did, put it on the tee no practice swing and sure enough I put it into the hole for what would have been a hole in one, NET 3. We had 16 of us that day, and the group behind us was one of ours and they were in tears. That cost me $20 per player and closest to the pin or about $480 that day, basitd.....
