So. Cal
use range balls. use the cheapest ones you can find. it's the golfer, not the balls, right?

pro v1 (high numbers..5-8)

however i just bought a dozen srixon on recommendation (think they are the z-star, comprable in price to prov1) and they are great and most importantly....dont scuff as easily as prov1.

maybe its because my swing plane is so bad but a brand new prov1 is usually scuffed by hole 2 where the srixon can last an entire round.

i will say, if you're not breaking 90 it really doesnt matter what ball you use.

If you're not shooting in the 70's it doesn't matter.

 ... even a hack like me wants to stick the green .

a buddy let me use one of his b-stone e6 and you could see the ball wanting to check up with all my wedges. i could see it cutting 5 or 6 stokes off my game . :SIB

The E6 is not designed for spin, is it? It has a firmer cover and I believe is designed for distance and control. I read up a lot on this stuff this year in one of the golf magazines I have laying next to my bed. If you can spin a harder ball, you should try one of the soft ones. There is a difference, but players like me don't really know how to consistently play it.
