Only thing Newt said with any merit was for the mediator to stop getting them to argue and throw shots at each other.

After everyone clapped, the rest of the ppl on the stage proceeded to attack the shit out of Perry.

Guess no one listens to Newt anymore.

PS - If this is all the ideas that the GOP can come up with to turn this country around , we may be better off with Obama again.

Its pathetic.

We need leaders in Washington with vision. If we've lowered our standards to the point where we're now voting for the candidate who's least polarizing, it's a sad comment on the state of our country. Obama stepped into an extremely difficult situation but he had a mandate for change and he squandered it. Obama was a great candidate, but IMO, he's far from being a great President.

......................................................................

I think that considering everything that Obama has done the best he could and I doubt there are many others that could have done better.

Our stupid system of politics.

All I know is that if the GOP gets in for 2012 they are going to get fillibusterd and hit at every turn .

They are assured to get smacked in the face every time the new President would try to do something.

Its the system we have. No one wants to make the country better. They just want to politic and make their money .

Then Bachmann and a few others say that the first day if office they are going to repeal ObamaCare.

I doubt it. It is going to take a massive effort to try to repeal that plan. They make it sound like a walk in the park, when in fact it will be just as hard to get it out, as it was for Obama to get it in .

Perry - Mike Dukasis raised more jobs than you did during your term as Gov.

Romney - George W raised more jobs than you did when he was Gov of Texas.

Oh shitballs

Now that was a kick right in the head.

Only Job George W cared about was his own.

Cain made the most sense of anyone there.

Newt may be trying to rally the party for the VP spot and then he would take on healtcare where he has alot of experience. That spot on the ticket is Marco Rubio's to take or turn down.

Hopefully Ron Paul helped some of the lemmings understand that you don't have to be locked in to thinking the government has to do everything for you. Just think for a moment, if the FDA wasn't a government agency, it doesn't mean we would all be subjected to bad food. It means the states would manage it as they do now for, for instance restaurant inspections, only with the beauracy of Washington. And then, the most important point...all of those laws and regulations are done in the shadows under the iron fist of lobbists and special interests. Just think about alternatives to government control without the limitation of the way it has always been because that is why we have been conditioned to think that the government has to take care of us.

To me, Perry made Mitt look alot better and Huntsman looked and sounded better than both of them.

Thankfully, Michelle and Santorum and their idiotic core values are irrelevant.

All but, the last two would be much better than our current community organizer.

Bachman is done but will keep her mouth shut in hopes of a chance at the VP spot...

She can hope all she wants, but no candidate in their right mind would have her mouth out there roaming around representing their chance at the presidency. She's done - and I'll do everything I can in my area to make sure she loses her legislative seat locally in the next election.

The debt limit shit by the GOP showed what politics in Washington is really about.

I think the Dems will remember that for a long time and there will be tough road for whoever gets into the Presidents job .

Its amazing that Obama is the first President I can remember that calls it like it is.

He really does care about the American people , but the politics in Washington ties hands for everyone.

It has to stop somehow.

We have to stop it.

It is going to ruin America

The Obama caves in so much he might as well live in one.

For instance:

1) air quality standards
2) failure to do anything with the commission he started re: medicare reform
3) taxes must be part of the debt ceiling discussion
4) I will give my jobs speech on Wednesday night
5) I will pull troops out of Afganastan
6) I will immediately end don't ask don't tell
7) I will give my jobs speech on Thursday night at 8pm est
8) I will pass the dream act
9) I will give my jobs speech and it will include how we are paying for it
10) Gitmo will be closed
11) 9/11 terrorists will be tried in New York City
12) Jeffrey Immelt will lead our US job strategy
13) green jobs are the answer to building the economy

These are off the top of my head. The Obama is a nice guy but, he is in way over his head. He needs to go back to organizing bake sales and midnight basketball.

Romney, Huntsman & Paul all have their strengths but to suggest the country would be better off with Perry or Gingrich at the helm is quite a s--t--r--e--t--c--h there, Bob.

I just heard this one, Bob, and for some reason I thought of you...

"A new poll just released revealed that 75% of Arizonians think the country is headed in the wrong direction and they're thinking about moving back to Mexico." :142smilie
