The first time I went to The Keg, I was skeptical.
Eat there one time.....you will walk out wanting to go back again.....and soon.

Not to be a prick but,
Comparing the Keg to Outback is funny. The Keg burgers at lunch are better than McD's as well.
Also, I dont think the Keg is even the best chain Steakhouse in Denver much less the best overall chain.

It was a little bit of a joke to compare The Keg to Outback. Outback is barely one step above McDicks.
Having said that, maybe it's just me, but yeah, The Keg is a good place. I think something that makes them excellent in my book is the consistancy. Every time I have dined there, I've gotten everything perfectly. Can't say that about many places.
I would agree with the last statement, Ive never had a bad meal there. Also, never had an issue with the service.
Have been to The Keg in Chandler AZ a few times. They have a nice atmosphere and a good happy hour but, after some great meals there, the last couple times have been subpar so probably won't be back.
I think they do have a good rep nationwide, this particular unit seems not up to standard.
If in the Tempe area, make sure you go to Monti's which is in downtown Tempe and a local historic fav.

hedman - ever been to Black Hat Cattle steakhouse up in Kittredge? Went there last November as my relatives in Littleton really recommended. I didn't like what I had, but my wife and the people we were with all raved about their steaks. I did like the joint from a setup perspective, pretty open, looked like a good outdoor area when the weather is nice, and wine not priced too heavy.
I'm pretty strict about not giving steakhouses and bbq joints second chances if I didn't like it the first go, but may be willing for this place.

Fogo is awesome but totally different concept bud .... it is a Brazilian steakhouse and all you can eat ... and I can eat a lot :0074
Yes, I love the outdoor patio, GREAT LOCATION! Ive never been disappointed with the food, but never wow'd either. Next time you are in the area, esp. Littleton, talk them into Shannahan's. It is very good food and on a weekend night, the Suburban Cougars are out in full force, so the atmosphere is nice at the bar.
