Well I hope that other site has service plays on it, unlike this one that use to. I am sure others will leave also, and then saint, and his band of groupies can talk to eachother until they are hoarse.

Is it just the hangover...?

Is it just the hangover...?

Seriously, why should your request even be seriously weighted?

You registered this month. Most of your posts are from two threads, and not once did you introduce yourself to the members of this site but came in pissing and moaning.

You know what, you're not worth it... Im going to back to bed... errr.... the couch...

One of the coolest things about this site, IMO, is that we can have discussions like this. And the services forum is in no way the best part of this site. But I'm sure damn near everyone knows that, so I'm preaching to the choir.

I agree with Jack and pretty much everyone else when I say that the vast majority of these guys are snake oil salesmen. They're trying to separate guys from their money, pure and simple. They do that with their 'GOY,' 'Crush your man,' 'Titanium,' 'Plutonium,' 'Your wife is going to cheat on you with the cashier at Piggly Wiggly if you don't buy this play' plays. Ok, so I made the last one up. But yeah, those guys are bastards and that's all marketing B.S.

Full disclosure... I started betting on sports about 10 years ago. As bad as I am now, I was even worse then. I know, that's pretty frigging hard to believe, but it's true. Anyway, I learned the hard way that these guys will cost you money in the long run. However, in the process of finding this out, I did find ONE guy who does pretty well, year in and year out, and documents his record every week, every year, etc., for the whole world to see. He doesn't market or hype his picks, he just releases his picks every week and, usually, he does pretty well. He doesn't hype his picks because he has a very big following due to his years of success.

I don't blindly play this guy's picks, but if I see that he is on the same side it does give me a little more confidence. And there have been times when I've stayed away from a side because I see that he's on the other end. And mostly, I've saved myself money by doing that.

Anyway, that's my novel. While the vast majority of services are shite, you can actually find decent ones. At least that's been my experience.

Glenn, we are wasting our time trying to explain to these people about the service plays. I just had to laugh at that one post, saying I did not introduce myself. Yeah right, I am sure I want some of you that have called me every name in the book over for dinner. Let me ask you did any of you introduce yourself to me and ask why I posted my comments in the first place. No you took great pleasure in ganging up on me and making fun of my on line name and everything else. So I say to you kiss ass, I could careless to meet you people on here. And I am not leaving and will keep fighting for the service plays and pissing you all off. Like I said your a bunch of groupies that do not have a life and you remind me of CB buddies that sit in their homes and talk on short wave radios. And if you want to ban me I could careless for I can see none of you would be people I would want as a friend anyway.

Two reasons that I can think of to gamble on sports are fun or money.

It doesn't make sense to me if you do this for money because it would be like paying additional vig on both wins and losses. Without a service, you only pay a small vig on the losses.

If you're like me it's a hobby. Would you pay someone to go fishing for you?

I like to make my own picks and read in the forums who everyone else likes. If I have no opinion and want action I see what several posters have bet and bet accordingly. It is certainly a hobby for me

Personally wish we had the service forum as this allows me to understand why some lines move 2 to 3 points. It also lets me know where I'm getting value like Alabama was -4.5 at one point yesterday due to the fact Dr. Bob liked Tennessee.

Dr. Bob also had Ga Tech as the line opened at 11.5 and was 14.5 at one point. I promptly took Virginia.

I don't have time to visit other forums and it would take me forever to learn whose advice to trust. I don't follow any touts, but do like reviewing their picks and either fading or playing with them.
