He is a flat out dope.

USC is not a top 5 team. Top 5 teams dont struggle almost every week vs the likes of Washington & Oregon St.

Texas turns the ball over 4 times & they still win vs tougher competition than Oregon St.

USC wouldnt throttle anybody in the Top 15. I keep hearing they play awesome in spurts....hell FIU plays well in spurts. This isnt a game of spurts, its a 60 minute game.

I really dont think Michigan is that great either, but they would beat down USC this year.

OSU, Michigan, Florida, Texas, would all beat USC relatively easily IMO.

Where were you when a national title team struggled with inferior foes almost every week in their title run?

All good or even great teams struggle with inferior foes. I'm in no way saying this is USC's best team. To say they don't have top 5 talent or a legit top 5 team when they are on just shows how much knowledge you lack in football.

Many teams would get throttled turning the ball over as much as USC did. They played like crap & could still have won the game. Tell me how many teams would do that?

By the way no one team plays complete 60 minute games week in & week out, not one! You will never see a team in any sport do it either, spurts are natural. Sorry this obvious point goes right over you.

I only read the first 8 words of your post because you have now shot any and all creditability to your college football knowledge claiming Boise as a the best in the country...that team wouldn't be undefeated in a BCS conference...they would be a four or five loss team in the SEC...

Sorry Sinon for the ridicule because this guy is actually serious...:142smilie

Boise St hasn't even come close to losing. They are toying with what is dealt with them schedule wise & going about their business.

Why won't the big boys do home & home with these guys if they are no match for the "big boys"? These teams know Boise St is for real!

Oh by the way Sinon, lets see who USC faces in a BCS bow. I'll be glad to wager with you that USC will throttle pretty much anyone they face.

Not a problem, seeing as they will most likely face Michigan or Ohio St.

I would love to see USC throttle one of them :142smilie

Texas turned the ballover just as much vs TT yet they won, no 2 pt loss for them. But hey it seems to be source of pride for USC that they turnover the ball over 4x & only lost by two. Great Attitude.

USC does have top 5 talent & maybe next year it will be realized.

USC is clearly not a top 5 right now.

There is no doubt in my mind that Florida, Michigan, OSU, Texas, Auburn, LSU, even Cal are better teams.

This is simply false. I dont remember any recent NC that struggled every week vs clearly inferior talent.

One game sure, maybe two, but not almost every game.

Ohio St did & only homers would disagree. They barely squeeked by

Cincinnati, Wisconsin, Penn St, Purdue, Illinois, & Michigan. I'll give them the Michigan game due to that being the biggest rilvary. They needed quite the luck & "timely" officiating to beat some of those other teams.

Hockey, last I checked OSU wasnt a NC contender, it was Texas/USC.

What will you say when USC loses agian this season hockey? Are they still top 5 team then? Of course they are to Hockey. They could lose every game the rest of this season and they would still have top 5 talent. Miami/FSU have top 5 talent but they are terrible.
Stick to capping another sport hockey because if you think having talent not wins makes youa top five team then footbal is not for you. Oh and by the way USC and Boise will lose both their bowl games if they make it to a BCS bowl.
And you didnt answer me when I questioned your logic on how you figured Boise is #1, but I am geussing by your silence that I figured it out.:sadwave:

Last I check I was speaking of the Ohio St NC title team from a few seasons ago. I guess you missed that part.

I see you are trying to turn my words around to make a point. Nice try but you failed. Miami/FSU did not & do not have top 5 talent THIS season. USC on the other hand actually does, & they are in a technically rebuidling year.

Wins are important for a top 5 status but talent is quite the reason why a team is or isn't. If you can't see that well you are missing the whole point.

Give me proof that Boise St can't compete with the big boys this season. I know you & no one can't. All you will do is throw up schedule nonsense like the players have any control over it.

I start to regertate when I read your post about Boise St...

WTF...you have to be delusional...

Yes MICH/OSU had some slow starts and didn't look like world beaters but Boise would lose to a majority of those teams...Boise fawking State is not any different than having Akron or Teledo going undefeated actually it would because they tend to schedule Big Ten games every season...for the love of God it is a WAC team...chit they wouldn't roll the MAC as for a matter of fact...

Okay let me make this simple...OSU opponents current record is 59-49 and their undefeated...now Boise St's is 43-51 and their undefeated...I thinks its more than obvious which is more impressive...you can make the same argument with Mich and a one loss Florida, and Auburn...those teams would score a 100 on some of Boise States opponents...this avatar has never in the history of MJ's even be used more appropriately then right now....

But its time for you to :stfu: about Boise State...

They should be happy if they even make it to a BCS...But I have a feeling this year the WAC would not get the benefit of drawing a weak Pitt team in their Bowl...I hope they do get make it to a BCS so we can all laugh about the mismatch in size, depth, and overall talent...your argument in favor of Boise St makes you look even more ignorant with each of your replies...

So when Boise meets the Horns in a BCS game you are taking Boise straight up correct??

I will paypal MJ any amount up to 2K on that game if you give me the Horns SU over Boise.

Do we have a wager?

Boise would get trounced by Texas. Their supposed Heisman hopefully would run for about 40 yards if he was lucky.

Im not twisting your words around at all Hockey

Miami/FSU are among top 10 every year in recruiting classes, what makes you think they dont have top 5 talent this year? And how are you basing talent? And you say Wins arent as important as talent(or why else would lsu and usc be in your top 5) yet you have Boise st #1? They have literally no depth at most positions and are undersized if you look at thier roster. So on one hand you say you need top 5 talent to be a top 5 team(usc) and on the other you say you dont need top 5 talent to be a top 5 team (boise st)

You simply said to yourself, "I think SC is the best team int he country but they got beat by the beavers? But wait, Boist St. Beat the beavers who beat SC. That means Boise MUST be the best team in country and SC can be #2"

I bet your top 10 is rounded out by

6. Oregon ST.
7. Cal
8. Wash ST
9. Hawaii
10. Wyoming

Maybe Mr Hockey has USC in his top 5 because....

USC has 6-1 record playing the #1 rated Strength of Schedule! That is impressive. Only loss was 2pts on the road and USC had 4 turnovers AND 1 punt return TD against them. Still only lost by 2pts! Obviously USC self destructed. $hit happens! USC had not self destructed like that in over 5 years. Bound to happen. Especially with young team.

Lets not forget USC gets EVERYONES "A" game.

USC has played 4 road games and only 3 home games so far. ALL AGAINST BCS SCHOOLS! BRUTAL!

Didn't USC beat the 1st place team in the SEC 50-14 @Arkansas?

I crack up with all these "USC OVER-RATED" posts.

Maybe we should put West Virginia and their undefeated season playing the #89 Strength of Schedule in our top 5! That is an impressive resume! OOPS, they lost tonight.

BTW, Boise St. would NOT be in "my" top 5. They would be ranked behind quite a few 1 loss teams. BSU going undefeated with the #92 ranked SOS does not impress me at all. Although BSU could beat a lot of top 10 teams @BSU! :scared

I am a believer teams should EARN their ranking.

You think USC is the only team to get teams 'A' games?? I think Texas & OSU certainly get that....Texas is after all the reigning champions & OSU is the unamious #1 team right now.....not USC.

USC is not a top 5 team right now. Spin all you want, they arent a top 5 team.

BTW Minnesota has the #1 SoS according to the source I use. USC is 5th.

1. Minnesota 0.6721 50 18 0.7353

5. SC 0.6392 35 17 0.6731

I think USC has won 51/54 games. I think USC has flat out dominated college football the last 4 years. I think USC has brutally beaten a # of teams by double digits the last 4 years. I think USC def. gets EVERYONES "A" game, more so than Ohio St. and Texas. I am not saying OSU and UT doesn't get opponents A games. They certainly do.

USC has the #1 SOS according to SAGARIN, and I guess the #5 SOS according to your "mystery" source. PRETTY DAMN IMPRESSIVE!

I prob. agree with you. USC is prob. not one of the 5 best teams in the country at the moment. However, if you look at teams resumes, I think USC has one hell of an argument to be ranked in the top 5. VERY impressive resume. Other 1 loss teams have great resumes as well.

I do not think Mr. Hockey is out of his mind if he thinks USC is a top 5 team. Remember, if USC plays there A game, and #1 Ohio ST. plays their A game, its prob. one hell of a football game. Difference is OSU is consistent and USC is not. That is why USC has a loss and OSU doesn't and both programs have played tough SOS. OSU is the better team right now and prob. end of the year as well.
