But put in a diced green bell pepper and 1/4 cup diced jalapeno. :0074

I will never be able to eat baked beans made any other way!

I haven't baked them for an hour yet.

AMAZING!

:toast:

Ribs are on the grill, corn on the cob is ready to be cooked, and spicy macaroni salad.

Oh, my son is bringing crabcakes. :00hour

My son and 2 granddaughters are on the way over.

Beer #1.

Life is good.

I'm always making baked beans for these cookouts because, I guess, I'm the one who likes them the most so I make them. There are always a pile left over so I get beans for a couple days. Not today. I just went into the kitchen to get me a small bowl of beans and I couldn't find them. I asked the wife where they were. ALL GONE. Fuckers ate all my beans.

I made this on monday nite and finished the whole thing in day and a half..I couldnt stop eating it .

Added some Jalepeno, green pepper and small can of rotel w/green chilis. Instead of ketchup/Brown sugar i used a sweet and spicy bbg sauce and little bit rooster sauce..Also add some spices .

Will make this again .

Glad this got bumped, did not see it first time around. Definitely going to give it a try with one modification .....two pounds of bacon, not one!

New batch in the oven right now ...Added some more beans to it, a big can of baked beans and extra Kidney bean can..This is a fiber blast ...xstop...I have felt cleaned out so to speak, the last few days..

Breakfast 3 scrambled eggs and a side of this, is the way too go...Protein, fiber and good carbs.

I had to tweak to my familys liking, especially my picky 3 year old. I used ground chicken; one can dark red kidneys beans, one can pintos and one can of Bush?s grillin beans in bourbon & brown sugar sauce which did make it extra sweet with the cup of brown sugar! Would definitely love to try the original recipe for a potluck or church event.
