Big10 - no play on quinniplac today as our parameters only include single digit home favorites seeking same season revenge. If a team closes as a dd favorite, or as a dog, we take them off the play list.

The three plays above left me hungry for a little more action today, so I'm going to toss out a couple of conference home dogs im liking today:

Rutgers +10: buckeyes off a war with purdue, first game without loving, roll into rutgers with their measured pace. Osu not that hot a road warrior, just 2-5 this year with a single cover.

Boise st +1: dont look now but the broncos are on the rise out west, winners of six in a row, and 8-1 at home. Also huge revenge factor, not same season as our trend, but sdst has beaten boise the last three meetings on buzzer beaters. Also, boise currenly sits at 49th in the rankings and given the low national status of their conference, they can be considered a bubble team in need a a signature win. Throw in the fact that larry nance is back but still trying to shake
off the effects of a mono bout and I see a nice recipe for a bronco upset.

Tue. 24 Akron at Buffalo Buffalo, N.Y. ESPN3 7:00 PM

Strange game last night which the Zips picked up a very hard fought and tight home W. Seriously though, after seeing the event I scratched my head and said How in the Hell did they manage to get the W.

Akron got a lot of helping touch foul calls go their way last night that they are not likely to get on the road. They need these kind of calls because their guards are young and small.

Buffalo is a much stronger team in the paint. ( actually, all 5 starting spots) But for whatever reason jacked up 20 something three balls and shot 20 something per cent in doing so.

Alumni arena at UB has traditionally been a chamber of horrors for Akron even when the Zips were the much more talented side.

If all goes well between now and then I'd expect a number from the -5 to -8 range. Hopefully we get it,

home fav trend continues to rebound, going 2-1 last night, pushing season tally to 27-29 overall and 17-8 L5 days.

shawn, don't know what to tell you about st johns, I guess they fall in a gray area. johnnies were at -10 when I made plays and stayed there at my book, although I see they closed at -9- at some outs. I'm arbitrarily leaving them out of our count.

strap yourself in if you're playing these as our trend spits out a whopping 17 plays tonight - definitely not for the faint of heart or short of bankroll:

Hofstra -4-
fla -4-
UConn -4
app st -1
texas st -2
byu - 6
1ll -6-
Portland - 4
cal-sb -1
san fran -7-
mercer -8
samford -8-
marist -1
Denver -2-
e wash -8-
Idaho -6
Lehigh -4-

wish I remembered the statistical math I learned in grad school a lifetime ago as I'm almost sure there should be some way to tighten a group within this population. maybe someone with more time and skills than me can try to crack the code. in any event, tonight could get us over the hump or sink us below recovery level.

yep me too jack, I went ahead and put in all plays at the posted lines. it's seemed that the trend lines seem to increase throughout the day more than they shorten so playing the opening numbers gives a little edge.

Loop, you are using revenge for the team at home correct for same season only? IF so, the only angle I've seen that helps, is home teams getting more than 3 1/2 pts or giving 3 1/2 pts or less have the best ATS record thus far.

I used to use the same season revenge angle, but only when there were new coaches in play, because sometimes, head to head series, some teams just have another teams' number.

This angle helps better during conference tourney time, the double revenge angle is better, I think Corley or Shawn had those stats from before. Wish I kept those threads in my fav file.

GL tonight!

Looks like we escaped a disaster. When I hit the sack we were 4-9 and just found out we went 8-9 so I'll take it. At one time I think we were 1-7 :scared

I guess that means we're back on a nice run.

Good luck if there are any plays today. I'm thinking about hitting the casino over in Cincy.

25-17 since I joined in.

yep, no watershed event last night, good or bad. as jack confirms ,plays go 8-9 last night after digging into a early hole. actually, those that played closing lines and got san fran at -6- finished 9-8, but for grading purposes i'll stick with 8-9 as I confirmed plays at early lines. that puts us at 35-38 overall for the season

a little sigh of relief tonight with just three plays appearing. get ready for another big day tomorrow:

valpo -3-
canisius -2-
Toledo -9

1-2 Friday
26-19 since I joined in.

Hope you don't mind me keeping track of my plays since I started. I'm staying aboard unless I go into the hole but still up decently so far.

Good luck today!
