That's the tv I'm looking at also. I will be getting it in June when we move.

Have you been happy with it? Any blurring with very fast action (sports)?

Thanks!

SC,

I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you visit and post this question on http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/

make sure you post in the correct section (there are so many) and you will have many experienced pros tell you what set up would be killer for the amount of $ you wish to spend.

for $5k you will get a very very nice system.

p.s. nice tv

Most TV's have 60 GHZ newer models have doubled to 120 ghz
It will reduce the blurring effect you're talking about.

as for surround sound I have a Yamaha with Energy speakers, it's five years old and works like new.

MARANTZ Receivers are very good as well know a few people with them.

Personally, I LOVE the KARMON receiver line, you won't find anything better out there, unless you go to japan and get their top of the line system, HARMON/KARMON is in your price range for a good model

forgot to mention, you may wish to step up to a 50 52 or 56" tv if you have the space!

I cannot disagree more with this statement man. Numerous studies and performance tests have shown time and time again there is no difference between the 100 dollar monster cable and the $15 cable you can pick up anywhere else.

I've had a Bose lifestyle system for 8 years...can't go wrong there in my opinon...

I'm sure there are better (MUCH BETTER) systems out there but this one has suited me fine for 8 years...I live being able to listen to CD's while I'm upstairs cooking in the kitchen and controlling them from upstairs with the remote (infared)...

Same shit without the Monster name...my bad homie......

at 6ft there will be virtually no difference except for the huge price difference.....

We just bought a house and found out there are built-in speakers in the master bedroom, master bath, dining room and kitchen with separate controls.

Can anyone figure out wtf they wouldn't put them in the den/main room where the tv will be???

because they probably had higher end speakers in the main listening room that were not in-wall mounted.

i'm betting they took the good stuff with them big guy. :)

depends on the set up they had too... no need for speakers in other rooms to be linked in to the tv... tough to listen to the tv and not see it. they might have had them run right into a receiver in there or something on their own.
