so I guess none of us drug addicts and or alcoholics ever return to a life free of self medication.
Maybe I read it wrong but I took that more as a joke about the Cleveland franchise rather than a commentary on people with addiction and their struggles to stay clean. :shrug:

there is nothing funny about living in the streets and finding yourself in the gutters..
trust me on this one..
my closest and dearest friends don't get to laugh about my struggles in my presence without my ok..
and believe me..they know that first hand..
unless one has been to the rock-bottom depths of pure unmerciful hell you will NEVER truly understand the struggles this man faces each and every day until he somehow gets the years of sobriety to completely change his existance..
there is not one single thing about his struggles that are funny or humorous in any shape form or fashion.
he may fail yet again..hell....probably at least 10 failures for me..but one thing is for damn sure..If you can't see the trying in that man's eyes and hear and feel the words as they come from the essence of his soul..
Then..carry on..we shall make it anyway.

I would have expected nothing else but was hoping he was not a long time criminal. Would have made a nice feel good story. Not the case. Why? Did you just write him off as being a no good bum from the get go?

I just guessed that he must of robbed some people along the way to support a drug and alcohol habit without a job.
