SEC winner v OU or Texas but look for a huge media push for USC to go ahead of a team that didnt win its conference...just like LSU's unjustifiable jump last year

That's what I figured they would throw out the - if you don't win your conference - you can't play in a NC Game argument and we'd see USC who is behind both UT and OU in all the polls.

I wonder if Mack will drop OU to unranked this week since it is secret ballot?

Maybe a couple other coaches that dont like Bobby could do the same...

Not really - last year you probably would have had Mizzou v Kansas or still Mizzou v OU...the unbalanced schedules make it the same sham in most years-neither Kansas nor Mizzou played Texas, Kansas didnt play Tech, etc..

It would still allow for a better game most years as opposed to watching a team that doesn't belong in a title game.

WHY DOES MIZZOU DESERVE TO PLAY IN A BCS GAME????????
You want to reward that. They won't beat OU or Texas next week, but they get a chance. Any other team that is 5th best in their conference playing to go to a BCS game?

USc is crushed in the computers though...It would take a massive voter switch....also strangely enough if Bma beat Florida texas could jump OU as quite a few voters had OU 2 and Texzas 4, but my guess is OU winning the conference would solidfy

Stoops always claims that he doesn't vote.
I question that and I bet he votes this week.

Stoops doesnt have a vote. It was taken away due to OU athletics being on probation...he of course claims he chose not to vote any longer. But he has Leach, Fatgina, Sumlin, his brother....in other words plenty of coaching help

You would think he has plenty of coaches that dislike him as well...

I dont know for certain, but I would guess Mack has quite a few friends in the coaching world & would be more well liked in general.

Mack is far less liked than you think. Coaches most of all you would think would care about head to head and they switched in full force last week. When Mack campaigned in 2004 he actually lost votes - the computers put Texas in over Cal.

Then you have the nonsense of the Harris Poll. As an example a voter is Jeff Blake - yeah that one - he moved to Austin and wanted his son to go to UT and Brown wouldnt give him an offer - how do you think that vote will go?

Go lolok at the list of Harris voters - its truly frightening.

Even more absurd - the coaches votes this week arent made public. Only public next week. And none of the computers have any sort of verification system. A huge OU fan like Billingsley can do whatever he wants.

Yeah,very true.

What a joke of a system the BCS is.Us SEC people can thank the great idiot Roy Kramer for being the architect of this joke.
