OK here's the deal. The cat officially belonged to my old roomate when I owned a house in Vegas. He took said cat (male named 'Tiger') with him when I sold the house. A year or so later I get a call from him that he's taking the cat to the pound if I don't take him. So I took Tiger to save his life. Turns out my old roomate had become a meth head thanks to a stripper that eventually made this other guy we knew shoot himself in the head.

Anyhoo, I kept Tiger in Vegas and SB for a while. Sometimes leaving him in Vegas with new roomate for extended lenghts. Tiger definitely preferred SB - better climate, more interesting foliage, etc - even his fur felt way smoother here. So eventually I decided I really didn't want to take him back to Vegas. Well, I was seeing this 40 something year old Russian woman when in Vegas at the time (almost a year ago). She said her daughter in LA really wants the cat. I think that's not a bad idea - better than me carting Tiger all over the place. I take Tiger to the daughter - who is of course a model/struggling actress. Anybody whose drivin to Vegas has seen her - she's the chick on the Venetian bilboard holding cards to advertise their poker room.

So the cat lives in LA for a while. He even got to mingle with a celebrity or two - Anthony Keidis for sure - Tiger probably saw him and the Russian model :s6: a time or two. ...Well, eventually the model moves around too much and gives the cat back to her mom - who has moved from Vegas to Pahrump. Actually, that pisses me off a little because I would love to have Tiger back now. But these Russian women are very clever and possessive. If you ever loan them anything - even a cat - they will never give it back.

Perhaps I could coax Tiger from the mom except she's now married. In fact, that's what scared me away from her last year. She was on the fast track to get hitched. She ended up marrying some guy after 10 days. Every now and then I hear from her and get an update on Tiger. Supposedly he has his own room and is happy. But I think he would be happier here.

This is one of those times when I regret getting involved in a thread.
