You would think that Comcast, being in the internet business, would have a website that functions for their customers.

No. I would never think that. Its Comcast. They are fucktards.

What website?
https://omarsvideos.com/Shutdown was probably the wrong word. They were removed from Google search with the following notice:
In response to a complaint we received under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 3 result(s) from this page.
So if you have the address then it probably still works, but I think I'm gonna pass for now. I thought the address was gearstv.com, which does nothing right now. You can get to gearstvnow.com which looks to be the same thing, but it's all pretty shady at this point.
Are either of you using a VPN?
I don't watch TV much and haven't touched it all week. I'm going to hook it up on the TV my wife watches and the report I get from her will be the report you want. I'll try out NFL Sunday ticket for the afternoon games tomorrow after I get back from the wing joint.
You can't go wrong getting one anyway, you definitely will want to keep it. Just don't go pulling the plug on cable yet. I'll give you the wife report next week.
Do you have a report? How was the NFL Sunday Ticket?
Dave, just so I'm sure I'm getting this from the right place, I get mayfair from:
https://mayfairguides.com/pro/
Right?
Correct.
Get one then decide. I'm still dragging my feet but will definitely be pulling the plug on Comcast.
After a day+ of watching this I can say the following good:
1. Buffering is not an issue, at least for me and that's on wireless.
2. It's just a stupid amount of options for the price.
3. Mayfair is a must
I can also say the following bad:
1. The picture is nowhere near as good as my DirecTv. Maybe I have something set wrong but even when I clearly select a channel broadcast in 1080 I get a picture that looks more like old SD than 1080. This isn't a wireless issue as I'm not getting buffering at all.
2. The picture will get jagged at times.
3. Not having the ability to "start from the beginning" kinda sucks. You have to start watching a show/movie whenever it's scheduled and can't be even a couple minutes late.
4. No DVR is a deal breaker for the wife.
Overall if you want the sports packages without paying $100+ each it's certainly worth every penny and more, but I personally don't see it as a replacement for DTV just yet.
Adding to the list of bad:
5: Mayfair guide doesn't load today, just a white screen.
There are add ons that you can watch any show from any season. It's like a dvr. Better because it has no commercials .
