I started playing the pools in 4th grade. First bet with bookie in 9th. Now 48 years old and still betting every day.:toast:

LOL, good stuff. I started gambling in college. Lots of $$$ lost and won, more lost back then though. With the introduction of the internet I started winning at a much better clip.

My friend's dad in High School was a barber. Found out he did more than cut hair. 9th grade with his Dad.
Started gambling at 16 poker, shooting pool. Started playing the horses at 20, really didn't start sports until I was in my late 20's. The only one I had some success was the horses.

Pitched quarters against the curb in the 6th grade. Took all the kids lunch money. Poker regularly in the 8th grade. First bet with a bookie was Leonard/Hearns and bet $30 to win $25 on the winner Leonard. :00hour
Pitched Quarters in Jr High, hustled pool tables in high school, and started playing with a bookie in high school.
Played buttons on the bus in 9th grade.

I started betting NFL at age 9. My uncle was a bookie. It's still the only sport that I'm good at 33 years later.
at 15, played poker at a friends on his front porch, where we started out betting pennys and graduated to quarters and dollars quickly. There was about 5 or 6 of us that met regular there.
a lot of pool halls.
Got kicked out of Louie's Pool Hall one time for bouncing the cue ball out a third story window on the break. I think I put too much English on that one.
Learned how to pick out the loudmouth bull shitter's who couldn't play from the guys that were real good and would take my money.
I mostly played the loudmouth bull shitter's because I beat them consistently.
to me , that's gambling in your favor.

Had played cards of course with friends, etc, but first sports bet was Xavier over New Orleans in the NCAA tournament during sophomore year of high school. Some things you just don't forget, for better or worse. I hit that one, of course.

Deer lease with my dad 13 years old I borrowed 10 dollars from his business partner when he was asleep and my dad overheard me thanking him for letting me borrow money after I paid him back and I kept the profit :0074 Been hooked ever since, not much I haven't bet on over the years still love it
Was playing Spite and Malice when I was 5 with stakes being a later bedtime.
Started playing poker when I was 7; we called it penny ante.
Escalated to basketball pools as a Freshman in high school then assorted poker (mostly 7 stud and 5 card draw back then). Played poker and gambled sports all through college, etc.
