Yeah, my wife has made chips by frying them. Damn good, too, but a hellava mess!

Yeah, I've made them in the deep fat fryer, and they were actually pretty good. I love dropping some potato sections (small, 1-2 inch potato cubes) into the fryer and having those with burgers or steak. The kit had different cutting setups, that can create waffle-type potato sections. I was in the process of doing that last summer, but sliced my thumb open, and quit the process... those things are really dangerous if you're drinking a lot while creating your feast late at night...

:0074 :scared

I've asked for a jerky-making kit for Christmas, so hoping to get into that in the next year. Not potato chips, but I do love me some jerky.

I ALWAYS have on my stove:

salt grinder
pepper grinder
Old Bay
Sriracha
Tony Chachere's
Louisiana Hot Sauce

:0074

I have all six of those as well. I have yet to find the perfect use for Tony Chachere's salty mix, but I like it on potatoes and scrambled eggs....among others.
