Middle of the Road either means a political stance that is neither Conservative or Liberal, or simply indicates average and nondescript.

Your prior posts were indicating 'incest' and 'backwards' ways for people who live in the South and/or Kentucky. 'Incest' and 'backwards' ways are not "middle of the road".
