I agree...no problem with a person choosing to stay and Darwin-ing out, however, you're on your own....Yet rescue folks are risking their lives to save those morons. They shouldnt be doing that. If those fools want to stay then stay.
Galveston is in deep caca...it may well be gone. The storm is 8 hours out and the famous 61st Street Pier has already washed away.
Hopefully it leaves your home and car undamaged, but knocks out most of the power in the area until the end of the CFB games on Sat. That will allow me free almost reign on the
office pool and an easy payday..
House is 22' above sea level
My house here in Colorado is at 8,500 feet

My house here in Colorado is at 8,500 feet. Just kinda struck me as a hell of a contrast. You are more than welcome to come on over! :mj06:
Don't know the surroundings at all, but have close relatives who evacuated to the Mont Belvieu area up #146 from the shoreline area....if anyone could give an update tomorrow would appreciate it.
Mount Belvieu not too far from me. I will post update on my area as long as my cable modem company still gives me service.
Got some nice photo, but have no idea how to post pics.
