Anyone watching FoxNews.

They just interviewed a skank and told her they are facing certain death. She replied "I hope not". They told her to go tell everyone they are going to die, She said "Alright"

Yet rescue folks are risking their lives to save those morons. They shouldnt be doing that. If those fools want to stay then stay.

Galveston is in deep caca...it may well be gone. The storm is 8 hours out and the famous 61st Street Pier has already washed away.

I agree...no problem with a person choosing to stay and Darwin-ing out, however, you're on your own....

Never left.
I am here in Kemah.
Just came from Boardwalk area and the watwer has yet to break over except in the channel which was expected if you know this area.
Winds are only going to be 100 and my home will hold. I have a 2 story and a generator so I am not worried about storm surge. House is 22' above sea level and Kemah officials are saying 12-18' surge here.

I hope I am not a moron being rescued.
Keep an eye on the rescue copter as I may be on it. :142smilie

Hopefully it leaves your home and car undamaged, but knocks out most of the power in the area until the end of the CFB games on Sat. That will allow me free almost reign on the
office pool and an easy payday..

I have a generator so it looks like another week that you won't win.

By the way, are you ever gonna pay your entry fee or just keep the I.O.U going all season.

Only one free pick a week:VANDY(-7) over Rice. Rice will lose this by 3 td's.

Don't know the surroundings at all, but have close relatives who evacuated to the Mont Belvieu area up #146 from the shoreline area....if anyone could give an update tomorrow would appreciate it.

My house here in Colorado is at 8,500 feet. Just kinda struck me as a hell of a contrast. You are more than welcome to come on over! :mj06:

I might need to borrow about 4 or 5 feet from you.

Worse case scenario is I spend the night in my closet upstairs.
Water expected to go down very fast here after hit as it washes out on backside and hits Galveston a second time and wind currents shift our coastline back out.

When I stop posting then you will know when power is out.
Not sure how quick I crank up the generator.

Mount Belvieu not too far from me. I will post update on my area as long as my cable modem company still gives me service.

The Dairy Queen was still open an hour ago and it was packed.
They are closer to the water than me.
